I'm screwed.

I'm so so screwed.

I'm really really screwed.

Had I mentioned I'm screwed?

Anyway, I'm screwed, but I think you already figured that out, but it's true. I'm pacing through my room as the words are playing over and over in my head.

Okay, so maybe I should catch you up first. It's been about a month since my really awkward conversation with my grandma. I had thought about the matter nearly every day after that. I had come to many different conclusions. First, I thought, no, I was sure that grandma was wrong. That I didn't like Jay.

Second, I decided that my feelings for Jay were only friendly.

Third, I was determined that my feelings for Jay were sisterly. I had been traveling between those options over the past month, but now I don't know anymore.

It feels like I just woke up from an awful dream. A dream where the truth has been running away from me the whole time, but when I finally catch up with it, it's much worse. It consumes me completely and makes me feel like I can't breathe. How could I have not seen all of this at all?

"Uh, Kai, are you okay?" I turn to the door in ninja speed to see my cousin Adries standing there. "Yeah, I'm fine," I reassure the young boy.

"Are you going to the fair with us?" A little voice from behind Adries asks me. The little 10-year-old boy shyly steps from behind his brother.

Atlas has always been shy. Even to his own family, but when he does something he loves? When Atlas does something he loves, he totally opens up to it. He'll have the biggest smile on his face. He'll open up to everyone and everything and he could talk about it for hours and hours.

Because he's so shy, Atlas doesn't have many friends. He actually only has one, who is also his best friend. Aless told me, the two boys are like one. They do and share everything together. I have yet to meet this other boy, but he sounds like a great boy.

"Sure," I tell him squatting down so I can look him in the eyes. "Are we going now?" I ask him in a sweet tone. He nods his head eagerly. "We're going to go in everything!" He exclaims eagerly jumping up and down.

Yeah, the fair is one of the things he loves.

"Come Kailee!" He grabs my hand and starts pulling me downstairs. "We have to go. Mickey is waiting!" He screams to no one in particular. Guess that means I'm going to meet the famous best friend now.

"I see you got Kailee to come with you," Aaliyah states as we walk down the stairs. Well, walk, more like me being pulled by an overly excited 10-year-old. "I don't think I have much choice, to be honest," I chuckle at my aunt. She nods in agreement when we walk out of the house.

"Isn't Aless coming?" I ask Aaliyah as we step in the car and I don't notice the oldest Reeds brother in there. "No, he's grounded," Adries informs me. "What--" I start my question.

"He made a stink bomb and let it explode in the living room," the littlest Reeds cuts me off with a disgusting look on his face. I chuckle wrapping my arm around him and placing a kiss on the side of his head. Again he holds a disgusted look on his face while he tries to wash the kiss off with the back of his hand.

----

"So, what has gotten you all worked up lately?" Aaliyah asks me as she starts walking beside me. We're the only ones left since both Aries and Atlas ran off with their friends as soon as they arrived.

"I don't know what you're talking about." I decide to act innocent. I'm perfectly aware of what she's talking about. Ever since my little talk with grandma, I have been a little out of it.
