"Your what?" My dad screams out. His whole body is tense. He clearly doesn't like the idea of me having a boyfriend. "My boyfriend," I repeat.

"In a friendship way, I hope," my dad's voice is full of hope. "No, he's my boyfriend."

My father's body tenses up even more when he sees Matt standing in our kitchen. "Please don't tell me that's him," he says turning to me. "That's him," Kevin interferes walking into the kitchen. Matt takes the stupid way out walking up to my father to introduce himself.

Luckily, mom stands behind him with her hand on his shoulder. If she didn't, I don't think Matt would make it out alive.

To top everything off, Jay comes walking in. "This is the wrong time to walk in or not?" He questions holding up one of his hands. On his other hand, he has his little sister.

"No, Emma, Jay, come in. Are the two of you staying for dinner?" My mother asks overly excited. "No, actually. We're here to ask Kailee something." Jay starts as little Emma lets go of his hand. The little girl runs over to me making me kneel down.

"Can you babysit me and Jack tonight? Mommy, daddy, Jay, and Emily are all gone and I want you to babysit." The little girl pleads. I mean, who can say 'no' to those cute chubby cheeks? I know, I can't.

"Of course, I want to. Why wouldn't I want to babysit my favorite Dallas and her brother?" I say as I envelop Emma in a hug. Then I look up at her older brother.

"Details?" I ask him. "If you could come around 8, that would be amazing." He tells me. "And seriously? Emma is your favorite Dallas? What about me?" I nod my head.

"Of course, I'll be there. And really? You want me to give you a list?" I say as I stand up again. He shakes his head. "No, I think I get it. You don't like me," he mocks me. I open my mouth to say another thing, but my father's stare silences me. Not much after that Jay and Emma leave.

Only then, I realize Matt is still here. I grab his hand and lead Matt to the front door. "Can you come by tomorrow to record?" I ask him and he immediately nods his head. "Okay, I'll text you the details," I say before I peck his lips.

I open the door for him, but he doesn't like that. He grabs my wrist forcefully and pulls me closer to him. He has a real tight grip on my waist before he forces his lips on mine. It's really not the best kiss I've ever had, but I kiss back anyway.

"See you tomorrow, babe," Matt says before he runs towards his car and takes off. I look up at the bridge before I run up the stairs. I sit close to the railing with my back to the wall. I sit there whenever I'm worried and I feel like eavesdropping my parents.

"I don't like him beautiful," I hear my father's deep voice. "Neither do I," Kevin agrees with dad. The two of them start talking about how they do not like this guy.

"What's wrong with Matt?" my mom's sweet voice comes in between. Oh, so they were talking about my boyfriend.

"What's wrong with him? Really beautiful? He has that thing around him. I don't know what it is, but I don't trust it." My father argues with my mother.

"What don't you trust?" I hear another voice ask. A voice that sounds a lot like uncle Hayes. "Kailee's new boyfriend," dad says. I hear two female voices squeal at my father's words and that's when I remember it's Friday.

On Friday the Grier family and our family eat dinner together.

"Where is the girl anyway?" I hear Liv ask. "Upstairs, I guess," Kevin answers. I hear Liv's footsteps go under the bridge and towards the stairs. My eyes widen as I realize that I have to get out of here.
