"Kailee, give me your little brother and get ready for school," mom scolds me while I'm bouncing Evan in my arms. "But mom," I whine. Mom gives me a glare with her arms sticking out. I roll my eyes, but lay Evan in her arms anyway.
Evan is three weeks old now. It's taking a toll on my parents, he wakes up a lot during the night. In the first two weeks, he was having some health issues, but he's gotten better.
Besides that, Evan is your typical cute little baby. He has cute little smiles and he has one of those cute little babies faces with dad's brown eyes.
Save to say that I kind of got addicted to my little brother.
"Kevin, get ready for school!" Mom's voice cuts me out of my thoughts. "But mom," Kevin whines. I look towards them to see Kevin making grabby hands towards Evan.
Yeah, I'm not the only one who got addicted to our little brother.
"The two of you, get in your car and go to school!" Dad demands walking into the kitchen. Both Kevin and I salute before we walk out of the kitchen. When I pass mom, I give little Evan a kiss on his forehead and when I pass dad, I give him a kiss on his cheek.
"Ready for the first day of our senior year?" Liv asks as she steps into the car. "Are you ready for a house under the ground?" Kevin asks mocking Liv. She slaps the back of his head as he backs out of the driveway.
Kevin parks the car next to Jay's. Today, he and his sister took Jay's own car for some weird reason nobody wanted to tell me. I step out of the car and immediately walk into Jay's chest.
"Morning Lee Lee," he chuckles wrapping his arms around me. I groan burying my head in his chest. He kisses the top of my head before he loosens his grip on me. With his arm around me, we walk inside the school.
"Ready for the new year?" Jay asks me leaning against the locker beside mine. I slap his chest while I give him a glare. "I'll take that as a 'no'," Jay states muttering to himself. I slap him again on his chest.
Jay wraps his arm around my waist while he leads me to my first class. He goes over both our schedules to see if we have some classes together this year. "We only have math together," he concludes after an elaborate scan.
"I'll see you at lunch then," I tell him before I peck his lips. I try to walk away, but Jay's hand in mine holds me back. I turn right back around and his lips hit mine. He moves his lips against mine. It takes a while, but after a couple of seconds, I kiss him back.
"I'll see you at lunch," he whispers at me when he pulls away. My cheeks are flushed and tingles spread across my body because his breath fans my lips.
Still not a real fan of PDA
I let go of Jay's hand and walk into my class. All eyes immediately turn towards me and Charlotte, unfortunately, stands up from her chair.
"I see that Jay Dallas still hasn't come to his senses?" She asks with her bitchy voice flipping her hair over her shoulder. "I see that you still haven't disappeared from my life?" I ask her back with the same bitchy tone in my voice.
Just a little less high-pitched.
"Ladies, sit down in your seats," our teacher comes walking in with a scowl on his face. Both of us sit down in our seats while Charlotte starts kissing up to our teacher. I roll my eyes at her as I take my books out.
---
"Have you seen him?" I hear Liv ask Kevin as she sits down on our table. She has not seen that I'm following her in suit. "Yeah, I wanted to punch him in the face," Kevin answers with a grumpy look on his face.
