Chapter 42: What You Want To Protect

Nagising ako dahil sa tunog ng phone ko na Im sure, kanina pa nag ri-ring. Sino bang tumatawag!?
I saw the screen and name 'Lyon' appeared. I just sighed at hinayaang mag ring yon. Ano namang sasabihin ng mokong na to. Mainit ang dugo ko ngayon sa kanya.

I looked at the time and its been pass 8 in the morning. Sinubukan kong tumayo and maintain my balance dahil sobrang sakit parin ng ulo ko. Anong nangyari kagabe?!

I tried to remember everything and it hit me again like a truck. Sobrang nalasing pala ako kagabi mag isa rito dahil hindi ko nakayanan. Nakita ko pa yung anim na bote ng beer na nagkalat na pilit ko pang binili last night. Oo, to be honest sobrang sakit lahat ng narinig ko kagabi.
I was just really stupid dahil nakinig pa ako sa conversation nila. Bibisitahin ko lang rin sana si Kaye kagabi pero natigilan ako sa may pintuan knowing that Lyon is there and he just confessed. I didnt mean to listen pero talagang ayaw ng kumilos ng katawan ko after seeing them both. I was actually jealous. I just stood there frozen in pain and frustration. I cannot deny the fact na mahal ko rin naman si Kaye pero the way they look at each other last night, Im sure there is something- there is a spark glowing. The way how Lyon spoke at Kaye speaks his true love and the way how Kaye's eyes glistened speaks that he also love Lyon. Tanginang gagong yun. Napaka swerte niya.

I just sighed in frustration. Honestly,never pa akong nainggit sa kanya ng ganito in my entire life. If ever sila man yung magkatuluyan, I just hope na hindi niya sasaktan at papaiyakin si Kaye kundi ako ang makakapatay sa kanya.

Kinuha ko ulit yung mga damit ko na nakakalat rin at sinuot yon. Its finally our last day in the resort at uuwi narin kami mamaya. Ang buong akala ko pa naman, magiging masaya tong outing namin na to but yeah, literally speaking,  it seems like it only brought heartbreaks and sadness. I walked out of my room then pumunta sa kusina at naabutan don si Silver.

"Silv, asan yung iba? "
I asked.

"Ah, nandun ata sila sa may cottage sa labas malapit dito.
They decided to go there para lang mag chill. Uuwi narin naman tayo mamaya eh. Why dont you go there. Kanina ka pa hinahanap ni Lyon. "
He replied.

"Ah ok. Thanks! "
I answered then walked out of the room.
Im not in the mood anyway kaya naglakad nalang ako papunta sa dalampasigan. At tsaka, may hangover pako kaya magpapalipas oras muna ako kasama ang karagatan.

Naglakad-lakad lang ako nung mapansin ko si Kaye na naka upo sa isa mga bench kaya nilapitan ko siya.

"Hey! "
I greeted.

"Oh Zyro! Gising ka na pala."
She answered.

"Yep. How about you? Kumusta ka na? "
I asked again.

"Just great. " he replied then smiled .

Those are the sweetest smiles that I've seen so far but sad to say, Im not the reason behind those smiles. Its Lyon isnt it?

"So, kumusta na kayo ni Lyon?"
I asked out if the blue. Ano bang sinasabi ko.

She just flashed a confused look but I can also sense that her face turned red a little bit. Nagseselos na talaga ako ha. Mukhang kinikilig siya eh.

"I didn't mean to listen to the both of you last night Kaye. I've heard what he confessed to you and Im sure, those we're sincere. Sobrang swerte nga nung lalaking yun eh kasi sigurado ako na gusto mo rin siya. Right Kaye? "
I asked pero nanatili lang siyang tahimik.

"To be honest with you right now, gusto rin kita Kaye. I can never hide these feelings for you. Uunahan na kita. Im not telling this all of a sudden dahil nalaman kong nag confess sayo si Lyon. Its not. Ayoko na siyang sapawan pa. Ramdam ko na gusto niyo ang isa't isa and Im telling you all of this Kaye because I dont want to have regret in the end, that I never told my feelings for you. At least, gusto ko lang malaman mo na I have loved you Kaye and Im not asking anything in return. Kuntento na akong nakilala kita at minahal kita. "
I smiled. Finally, nailalabas ko narin lahat ng nararamdaman ko. Sobrang bigat narin kasi eh.
