Chapter 48: Goodbyes

LYON 's Point of View

"Lyon! Madaming tauhan pa yung dumarating!"
Zyro warned habang patuloy pa rin kaming nakikipaglaban. Madami na kaming napabagsak pero mukhang marami talagang miyembro ang gang nila.

Nagpatuloy lang kaming apat sa pagpigil sa kanila pero hindi maalis ang atensyon ko kay Kaizer na nakatali sa upuan at kay Ivan na kasalukuyang nakikipag-agawan ng baril sa matandang lalaki which I assume is Don Joseph.

"Zyro, Sky, and Silv. Kayo na muna ang bahala rito. Kaizer and Ivan both needs help there."
Sambit ko at tumango lang sila.

Nagpakawala ulit ako ng lakas na suntok sa lalaking kaharap ko at naging sapat naman yun para mapatumba ko siya.

I ran as fast as I could towards their direction pero bago pa man ako makarating, nakarinig nako ng malakas na pagputok ng baril.
Bigla akong nahinto sa pagtakbo. It seems like the world around me just stopped. Bakit ganito? Why does everything suddenly felt static.

I suddenly started hearing faint voices calling my name but I don't know who it is.

"Lyon! Tang*na! Lyon tulungan mo si Ivan! "
I just snapped back to reality and I realized that it was Kaizer who is calling my name.

There I saw Ivan lying on the ground bathing in his own blood. I narrowed my eyes again then adrenalin just rushed all over my body.
I hurriedly ran towards him.

"H-Hey Ivan. G-Gising! Don't you dare die here or Im going to kill you twice. "
I hissed.
May tama ng baril sa sikmura niya and I can tell it. Its a bit serious because theres too much blood going out. I dont know what to do. Kinuha ko nalang yung panyo sa bulsa ko then tried to cover the wound for slight pressure.

"Y-You fools. A-ano pang ginagawa niyo dito? Go after Kaye! Nas panganib siya. Hayaan niyo nako dito. I would still die anyway. This is my karma. So just go! Hindi ko kayo mapapatawad kung may masamang mangyari sa kanya. "
Sambit niya which really infuriates me a bit.

"Shut your mouth. Its not the time to joke about death. No one's dying here. "
I retorted. I secured first his position then I tend to Kaizer. Pinakawalan ko siya sa pagkakatali.

"You ok? "
I asked.

"Yeah. "
Tipid niyang sagot.

I just nodded even though I know he's not fine at all. There are bruises all over his body and I can see him whimpering in pain everytime he moves.

"Why are you still standing there you bastards. Go after Kaye!"
Ivan yelled again.

"Huwag ka ng sumigaw and dont force yourself anymore. Mas lalo lang sasakit yung sugat mo. Dont worry, Im thinking a plan. "
Kaizer replied. Is there something happening between this two? The atmosphere between them just changes a bit.

"Guys! W-What happened--"
Biglaang napatigil sa pagsasalita si Eric as he approached us. He was so stunned to see Ivan.

"Eric! Good thing you're here! May tama si Ivan and please I need you to take him to the hospital right now. "
I pleaded and he just nodded.

"What about Kaye? Is she safe? "
Tanong niya ulit but a blank stare is all we could answer.

"For sure, sa ngayon hindi pero hindi namin hahayaan na may masamang mangyari sa kanya. You can count on us. "
I replied.

"I'm counting on you then. Dont worry. We already took care of our business outside. We will stand guard on the  area. We'll keep it safe until the police comes over. In the mean time. Please find Kaye. Her safety is the most important thing right now. "
Sambit niya and we just both nodded.
