Chapter 30: An 'Unexpected'

KAYE's Point of View

"One last more attempt Kaye and I'll really not be able to tolerate you! " he scolded while I was sinking in the sofa beside him.

Nakakainis na kasi eh! Hindi ko kailanman nalaman na ganito pala ka strikto si kuya Eric kapag galit siya.

"But, kuya! semestral break is almost over! Naiinggit tuloy ako kina Casey at lahat ng kaibigan ko kasi, pupunta sila ngayon sa isang island exploration and I was supposed to be there pero dimo ako pinayagan and its so unfai-.. "

"Quiet please! " I tried to reason out pero natigilan ako nung tinignan niya ako with that serious expression.

Ikaw ba naman yung ikukulong sa office niya ng magdamag nang wala kang ibang magawa kundi magpagulong-gulong sa inuupuan mong sofa at pinapanood lang siyang mag type sa laptop niya. Dalawang beses kong sinubukang tumukas pero useless eh. He would still catch me. Its really boring because one more thing, I dont have any sense of communication! Huu.. Na confiscate kasi pansamantala yung phone ko for investigation para sa nagbabanta sakin.

"Kuya please... " I begged again.
"Dont give me that look Kaye. This is your punishment for not telling us; for not telling ME that someone is messaging something vulgar as attempting to kill you." he answered.

" Its not serious. Malay natin, kung prank lang yun diba o baka may nang ti-trip lang sakin. Please, I still have thirty minutes para makahabol sa island trip. Matitiis mo ba ako kuya? " I insisted with those puppy eyes pero wala lang sa kanya dahil hindi naman siya tumitingin sa direksyon ko. Nakatutok lang siya sa pag e-encode sa novel niya.

"Not serious? What if totoo lahat yun at kapag pinayagan kitang lumabas, what if yun yung time na aatake yung nag me-message sayo? I know, this is exaggerating too much but you must never let your guard down sis. Im really sorry but I have to prioritize your safety. We must wait for the result of the police's investigation." he answered kaya natahimik nalang ako. He's right pero... Ayaw ko kasing mamiss yung trip eh. Asan naba kasi yung iba? Kuya Max,  Lance, Ren, Yuri, Zack, Silver, Skyner, Zyro, Ivan, Lyon and Kai- -..ahh nevermind the last...

"Eric! " I heard someone knock the door at alam ko kung kaninong boses yun kaya agad akong napatayo mula sa kinauupuan ko.

"Ah! Ako nang magbubukas kuya! " I volunteered.
"NO! Just stay there! I'll open it." sambit niya.

Hindi ko siya pinakinggan at tuloy-tuloy lang akong naglakad papunta sa may door. Kuya Max, get me out of here!
I was about to unlock the doorknob pero bigla niya akong hinila and he leaned close to me making me jumped in surprise. Sobrang lapit ng mukha niya sakin at wala akong nagawa kundi mapalunok.

Ngayon ko lang napansin ng malapitan yung facial features niya. Mahaba rin pala yung pilikmata niya and his lips, it looks soft and pink.

"Dont even try to oppose my orders again, are we clear? " sambit niya with that husky tone again.

I looked away and just bit my lips.
"Who k-knows.. " I replied.
"Tsk, dont do that again. Its distracting." he just smirked.
Bigla akong naguluhan. Anong sinasabi niya.
"I mean, biting your lip. Dont do that again. " he said again while still looking at me.

Narinig kong bigla nalang bumukas yung pintuan pero hindi niya parin inalis yung tingin niya sakin. Whats gonna happen now?

"Am I disturbing something or what?" gulat na tanong ni kuya Max with that confused tone and he just tilted his head habang nakatingin samin.
