i've grown up
i have no need for such childish things

but a part of me wishes it was still the first day of kindergarten
such an innocent, ignorant, oblivious, naive child
no idea of the storm that was going to come
and wreck this home

a smile on my face
in a world, a new place
blissful ignorance, mighty innocence
why couldn't i have stayed

because time flows and we've got to as well
lest we become ensnared in the current and drown
