Kara's POV

George wasn't able to be there when I was released from the hospital a week later. The guys had gone on another tour. But Miss Judy came to get me and take me to George's home.

"Hi sweetie." She wrapped me in a big hug when she first saw me.

"I've missed your beautiful face! Now let's go home and get you some food. You need more meat on your bones baby. You're awfully skinny!" I laugh. She signs the necessary papers and grabs my arm as we walk out to the car.

We go out a side door because there's press outside the front doors. The blood thirsty mongrels found out about me and wanted stories. I rest my head on Miss Judy's shoulder as we wind and curve through the streets to lose any followers. We eventually end up at George's house. Miss Judy walks me to George's room. I pause in the doorway.

"He insisted you sleep in here." I don't know what to say.

"I'll go fix you some lunch okay?" I thank Miss Judy and she gently shuts the door.

I walk around the vast room. It's huge. It's probably twice the size of my old apartment. I open his drawers and sniff his shirts. They smell just like him. I take off my shirt and put on one of George's. I close my eyes as I breathe in his scent.

I hear Miss Judy call that lunch is ready. She smiles when she sees me in George's shirt. The two of us chat continuously over grilled sandwiches and Miss Judy's finest homemade soup. After we finish, she sends me upstairs to take a nap. I close the door behind me to George's room and look around. Again, taken aback by the large room. I walk over to the bed. I pull back the covers and find a sheet of paper underneath a small white box. I pick up the sheet.

"I am dreadfully sorry I was unable to pick you up from the hospital today. It pains me that I couldn't be there. I saw this the other day and thought of you. I simply had to buy it for my girl. I love you so much and am counting the minutes until I see you again."

I opened the box to find a simple necklace. The chain was gold and at the bottom hung a white gold heart lined with little pearls. I gasped at the sight. I immediately put it on and wiped away the tears that had fallen.

I crawl into what looks like his side of the bed. I read and re-read his note over and over until I drift off into a blissful paradise.
