George's POV

I have no words to describe that experience. That was simply amazing. I wake to Kara's sleeping self still wrapped tightly in my arms. Her body rises and falls with each breath. I reach and gently run my fingers over her back. She lets out a shiver. She turns and looks at me. We smile at each other.

"Morning, beautiful." I say.

She kisses me.

"Morning, handsome."

We lay like that for a whole longer until the telephone rings. When I answer, Brian is on the other line.

"Two hour heads up." He says, skipping the hello.

"The car should arrive at your home within the next hour. No being late!" He hangs up. I place the phone back in it's cradle.

"Time to get up?" Kara asks. I nod.

We stay a moment longer before getting into motion. It's not long before we are dressed and packed. Our suit cases are waiting by the door as Miss Judy serves us breakfast. She smiles and wipes away a tear as she waves to us when we get in the car. We wave until we can't see her anymore. Kara leans against me as we drive to the airport. I try to tell her about the crazy fans but it's so hard to explain.

"You'll just know." I say. She nods.

A half hour passes before we start passing crowds of people. The groups get larger as we approach the airport. The windows are tinted so they can't see in.

"Wow." Kara whispers as the car slows to a crawl, policemen struggling to keep people out of our way.

"Yeah." I say.

I glance down, she's chosen to wear gloves on her hands. Good idea I think. Finally we get through the gates and arrive at the plane. Looking out I see we're waiting on Paul. Figures. I think. I step out to join the lads as they stand in front of the plane waving. I point Kara to get on the plane. I can't speak because the volume of the screams is too loud for talking. She nods and moves quickly onto the plane. We stand, waiting, and pretty soon Paul's car comes through. When he gets out, he comes to us and Linda moves directly to the steps that lead up to the plane.

We stay there waving for a couple minutes before we get the signal from Brian. We make our way on the plane. I sit down next to Kara. Once the doors shut and the plane starts to move, Brian instructs us to sleep since it's a long flight and we'll need our rest. Kara leans her head on my shoulder and is asleep in moments. I rest my head atop hers and am sleeping shortly thereafter.

----------------------------------------------

When we get off the plane in Australia, the screams are deafening. Kara follows the other women to a car while the lads and I wave to everyone. We get in a separate car and soon we're off. We head directly to a hall where Brian has set us up with a press conference. Kara and the other girls sit off to the side as us four all sit behind the large table at the front. I've never been a fan of press conferences so I light a ciggie as soon as I sit.

Soon all four of us have one lit. It takes a few moments for the crowd to calm down but when it finally does, the questions start coming. Our hair, life on the road, recording, our start, the usual questions. And then of course the questions of the girls. As far as the public knows, I'm the only available one. Ringo and John are married, while Paul is engaged to be married to Linda in less than two weeks. A reporter directs this question at me.

"George, we got word you've brought a woman with you on this tour. Who is she?" She asks. My face flushes.

We've got to go public at some point I think. I take a drag before answering.

"That majestically beautiful woman right over there," I point to Kara, who turns red as people turn to look at her.

"Well, uhm... she's my fiancée."

Gasps erupt.

Soon everyone is yelling out questions. I can't make out a single one so I just sit there. The guys and I look at each other and back to the crowd. We've developed a pretty good mind-reading communication system over our time together. Police try to quiet the crowd with no avail. Soon, with the uncontrollable crowd, Brian leans down to Paul, who sits closest to him. Paul taps John's shoulder and they stand. We must be going now, as Ringo and I stand as well. We walk out the door behind us. I turn and see police escorting Kara and the other woman out a different door. We all meet in a private room. Brian gives the police a stern talking to about the crowd's rowdiness.

We all sit and wait. As I sit, holding Kara's hand, I smoke another ciggie. Since we've arrived I've already gone through six.

"I'm sorry about that." I say. Kara leans over and kisses my cheek.

"It had to be done eventually." She says, squeezing my hand. I squeeze back as I smile at this incredible woman.

"I love you." I say.

"I love you." She says back.

When Brian is finished, he instructs us to stand and we head out a back door to a car waiting. It's big enough for everyone to fit. Kara sits next to Cyn and the girls all talk excitedly about what just happened. I smile, happy to see Kara connecting with the girls. I knew she'd be just fine. All the while, Kara and I never let go of each other's hands. Now that the secret's out, she's taken off her gloves. I glance at the ring on her slender finger. I smile, thinking she's mine, all mine. I kiss her cheek before turning to Ringo.
