George's POV

I hate to be leaving Kara already. I was home three days before I had to leave again. I phoned Linda and she had promised to ring Kara often. I give Kara a kiss as the car peeps its horn.

"I'm coming I'm coming!" I shout, annoyed.

I give Kara a bunch of really short kisses before I finally turn and walk down the stairs. Kara seemed to have been doing much better since her miscarriage, my mum seemed to have helped pick up her spirits.

We wave to each other. I want her to come but, same as with the other women, it's best for their safety that they stay as much out of the spotlight as they can. I sigh as the driver pulls onto the interstate and picks up speed as we head towards the airport.

Kara's POV

What? I gasp in astonishment. I can't believe this. I don't want to believe this. I stare down at my hands. My heart picks up speed. George left two weeks ago so that means... I count quickly. Oh my god. What? I sit in total shock. I am afraid to tell anyone for fear I'll jinx it. I'll just wait. I tell myself. I have to wait. I still am in disbelief. Miss Judy knocks to tell me I have a phone call.

"You okay?" She asks when she sees my face.

I quickly bury my hands in my lap.

"I-I think so." I tell her.

I wait until she leaves before I stand and walk to the phone.

"Hello?"

"Kara? It's Cyn. You busy?" Her voice crackled over the line.

"Uh no not really."

"Good. I'm coming over." She announces.

"Julian is coming with me. We'll be there in about five." She hangs up and I stand there.

Um what? That was strange. I've never been alone with Cynthia nor has she ever given me a five minute heads up of her arrival. I pull up my hair and slip on a sweater just in time to run down the stairs and open the door when Cyn rings it.

"Hi." She says.

She pulls me into a huge hug that lasts much longer than a normal hug should.

"You okay?" I ask, pulling back.

"Um.." She looks down at her feet.

I pick up Julian who's begging at my knees. He wraps his arms and legs tight around me. I step back and allow Cynthia in. She follows me to the sitting room. I set Julian down in front of the toys Cyn brought. We sit on chairs across from each other. We are silent for a minute. Just as I open my mouth to ask again, Cynthia blurts out the reason for her sudden appearance.

"I think John's cheating on me."
