I walked into the kitchen and ate some strawberries. Suprisingly, Cornelia didn't eat them all. As soon as I started to eat them, Eliza rushed over.

"We have strawberries!" She said shoving them into her mouth.

"Yeah. Cornelia helped Mama pick them."

"Of course she did." We both laughed.

"So, you like Alex?"

She stopped eating. "Yes."

"You two should totally date!"

"I don't know, Pegs."

"Eliza, you're beautiful! You have beautiful brown hair and brown eyes. You are super smart. You speak French. What else does a boy need?"

"I guess you're right. Anyways, we should go get ready."

"Yeah."

We walked up the steps. Eliza went to her door and turned around. "Can you help me?"

"With what?"

"Getting ready. I want to look nice."

"Eliza! You always look nice."

"Can you still help me? You're 14 and have better fashion sense than everyone."

"Fine. I'll help."

"Thanks, Peggy!" She hugged me tightly.

"No problem."

We went into her room and I picked out a dress. I walked into my room and Eliza followed.

"Here put this on." I handed her a light blue t-shirt dress.

I looked through my closet. I found my denim jacket. "Here." I put it on her.

She looked in the mirror. "Okay. Now what about shoes?"

I looked under my bed to find my white high top Converse. "Here. We're the same size, right?"

She nodded and put them on.

I looked at her. "Maybe we should try something different."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean your hair and make up."

"No!"

"Fine, just hair. Sit down."

She sat down on my bed and I put her hair into two dutch braids. She looked into the mirror and smiled.

"Wow! I look different, but it's a good different! Thank you so much!" She hugged me.

"You're welcome. Do you want to help me?"

"Sure." She smiled.

My phone buzzed.

"Give me a second, Sally texted me." I checked my phone. She needed help with getting ready, so I told her to come over. "Sally is going to come over. She needs us to help her get ready."
