We walked into Maria's house still holding hands. He led me to our friends.

"Well then." Angelica said.

John looked at me and smiled.

"So I'm assuming you guys are good now?" Alex asked laughing.

"Yes. We're perfect." I said still smiling.

"Aw, Peggy has a boyfriend!" Angie shouted.

"You're right; I do."

"You too are so cute together!" Laf said.

"Oh shut up!" John said. I looked up at him. He was blushing; it was cute.

"How about another round?" Herc asked.

"Absolutely!" I said excitedly.

John smiled at me.

Alex made our shots and passed them to us. "Ready, Sally?"

"I guess." She held the glass.

Sally smiled. She liked it.

"See! It wasn't bad!" I told her.

"You're right." She laughed.

"It's late. We should probably go home." Eliza said.

"I guess you're right." Angie said. "Let's go."

John grabbed my hand and walked me out to the car. We all got into the seats we were in before.

Angie, Laf, and Herc were talking the whole way back.

Eliza, Alex, and Sally were all talking too.

And me and John? He held my hand the whole time. Until I fell asleep. I didn't know what happened until I heard him speak.

"Baby, wake up. We're at my house." He said softly.

"Did you just-"

"Call you 'baby'? Yes." He reached out his hand and helped me out.

"Bye." I smiled.

"Bye." He smiled.

I walked towards Angelica's car.

"Oh, and Peggy?" He said. "And Peggy". He didn't use it to address me as a person. He used it to call me. To tell me something.

I turned to look at him. "Yeah."

"I love you."

"I love you more."

I got into Angie's car and watched him stare as we drove past. That boy right there was mine; only mine.
