"What type of party?" Cornelia asked excitedly.
"A homecoming party."
"Like football?"
"Yeah."
"Can I go?" She asked jumping up and down.
I looked to Eliza for help.
"Cornelia, this is a big kid party where we do big kid things." Eliza explained.
"What kind of big kid things? Like what Peggy and Maria were doing before?"
My face turned bright red.
Eliza looked to me and Maria laughing. "Care to explain?"
"I just kissed her, hon! I promise!" Maria said.
"Alright."
"I wouldn't be talking, Eliza." I said.
"Shut up!" She said as her face heated up.
"And on my bed too?"
"Atleast Alex is strai- I mean into girls."
"Okay, stop talking about your sex lives. I don't need to hear it!" Cornelia said.
"How do you know what it is?" Eliza asked sounding concerned.
"I have six older siblings."
"Well then."
"Now, what do you do at big kid parties?" Cornelia said jumping on her bed sitting next to Eliza.
"Play games."
"Like what? Checkers? Monopoly? Clue?"
"Oh yeah. We play all of them!" I said.
"Mhm." Eliza said.
"Then why can't I go? That sounds fun!" Cornelia said crossing her arms.
"Because we do other stuff." Maria said.
"Like have sex?"
"Can you please stop saying that?" I asked.
"Sorry, Meggy. What do you do then?"
"Stuff." Eliza said.
"Like?"
"Stuff." Maria said.
"If you can't tell me, it's either not bad at all, or terrible."
"Well I guess it isn't that bad, but you just can't go." Eliza said. "You'll get to go to lots of parties when your older though."
"Oh, all right." She sighed as she walked out of the room.
"Now what?" Maria asked.
"I don't know." Eliza said.
"I know!" I said jumping up. "Can you guys go somewhere else for a while? Oh, and tell Angie and Lia they can come when I'm ready."
