"Babes, how much longer do I need to wait?" Mar asked.

"I don't kn-" Knock. Knock. "Well that's your present." I stood up and grabbed her hand. I led her to the door. "Merry Christmas, Maria." I said opening the door.

"Dad?"

He smiled. "Hi, Maria. I've missed you. I feel awful for leaving you just like that. And for your mother. I'm sorry for everything. I'm not mad at you for what happened, and I definitely don't hate you. I was only mad because you stayed with him afterward and apparently for years later."

She rushed to him in tears. "That's all I've wanted to hear for 2 years. Please stay in New York. I can't live with Mom anymore."

"I can't promise you how long I'll be here, but I did buy us a house just down the road. I know I may not be with you all the time, but at least you'll have your own place. I'll work on moving you in tomorrow." He pulled away from her.

"Thank you so much. And I'll gladly help you out. I don't want you to go through all the trouble."

"Maria, it's fine." He kissed her cheek. "I want you to spend time with your friends." He turned to me looking me up and down. "Peggy, thank you for making my daughter happy. And thank you for bringing me here to her. You don't know how long I've wanted to come back to see her."

"You're very welcome." I smiled. "Would you like to come inside?"

"No, I should head back home. Thank you though; for everything." He looked back to Maria and held her hand in his. "Your girlfriend is incredible, Maria. Stay with her. I'll see you later."

Mar kissed his cheek. "Bye." She wrapped her arms around me in tears. "That's the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me! I love you more than you can possibly imagine!"

"I'm sure I love you even more."

"That's impossible." She laughed before pulling me into a kiss.

I pulled back and looked over to the group. "John?"

"Y-yeah?"

"Are you- Are you crying?"

"Pfft- No! Don't be ridiculous." More tears streamed down his face. "Maybe a little."

"Jackie, what the hell?" Alex laughed.

"It's Meggy! How the hell aren't you crying?"

"Man up, Gay Boy! Meggy is my OTP and I'm not-" tears fell from Lia's eyes. "-crying."

Maria and I went up to Lia hugging her.

"So she gets a hug, but I get laughed at?"

"This isn't about you, Gay Boy!" Lia said still wrapped up in our embrace.

I looked over to John. "Come here."

He ran over and joined the hug. Then Alex and Eliza came too.

"Meggy is definitely better than Jeggy." Alex finally admitted.
