I sat down in homeroom trying to avoid the staring and laughing. John was dead. I went through all of my classes being made fun. Now it was time for lunch with him.
I sat down at our table waiting for everyone. Theodosia and Sally came up to me.
"Peggy, I'm so sorry." Theodosia said.
"How did this even happen?" Sally asked hugging me.
"John."
"What?"
"I'm confused." Theodosia said sitting down.
"John, is Peggy's boyfriend." Sally explained to her.
"Not anymore." I said.
"You broke up?"
"Not yet."
Maria came and sat down next to us. "Hey."
"Hey." I half smiled.
"Mind if I sit here?"
"No, not at all."
Laf and Herc came.
"Mon amie; you poor thing." Laf sighed.
"You are far from a slut." Herc said.
"Confirmed." Maria said.
Angie and Eliza came running up to me.
"Pegs, how could this happen to you? You are precious!" Eliza said kissing my forehead.
"We are all here for you, baby sis." Angie said holding my hand.
"Thanks."
"Sisters before misters." Eliza laughed.
"I'm standing right here." Alex said.
"Sisters come before everything, Alex!" I shouted at him.
"Yes, I'm aware." He sat down. "How are you doing?"
"I'm suffering."
"Oh."
"Peggy, do you know who started this?" Angelica asked. "Because I will beat them if I have to."
"I'm was John."
"What?"
"He's your boyfriend!" Eliza exclaimed.
"Why would he do that?" Alex asked.
"Because he is the captain of the football team."
"Wait, how did you find out?" Eliza asked.
"James told me." Maria said.
John sat next to me and put his arm around me. "Sorry, I'm late." I pushed his arm off. "What was that for?"
