I woke up with Alex's arm still around me. I sat up and pushed his arm off of me. He was still asleep. "Alex, wake up." I said shaking him.
"Let me sleep." He whined.
"I thought you hated sleep."
He sat up and forcefully smiled at me. "Happy?"
I smiled and wrapped my arms around him. "Thank you for being an amazing big brother."
He hugged me back even tighter. "Anything for my Peggy."
I pulled away. "'My Peggy'? I love it."
He half smiled as he hopped off of my bed. "Are you ready to go down?" He asked holding his hand out for me.
I took his hand and nodded as I stood up. We went downstairs to the rest of the group.
"You better not have been cheating on me." Maria laughed.
"I wasn't. We were just-." I said.
"We know." John said.
"I thought you didn't sleep." Eliza said looking to Alex giggling.
"Well, here's the thing, I need to sleep. I'd rather not because I need to live in the moment, but my caffeine consumption doesn't always help me stay awake." Alex explained.
"Anyways, how did you guys know?" I asked.
"We went up to check on you two. You were up there for a while." Eliza said.
"We figured you were either talking or fucking, so we went to check." John said.
"Obviously, we were wrong." Mar said showing us her phone. It was a picture of me and Alex.
Alex smiled at the sight of the picture and put his arm around me. I smiled too. I could get used to this.
"I'm home!"
"You said Cornelia wasn't going to be here." Alex said looking to me.
"She was supposed to be going to her friend's house after school!"
"Alex!" Cornelia shouted running up to him and jumping on him. "I missed you!"
"You FaceTimed me last night." He laughed.
"But I didn't actually see you!" She looked over to me and smiled. "Hi, Meg!"
"Hi, Lia." I waved.
"Maria! I've missed you too! I know, I know, I saw you a few days ago, so what?" She turned to Liza. "Eliza! And-" she saw John. "Hi, Gay Boy!"
John laughed staring at me. "Gay Boy?"
"Cornelia Schuyler, leave them alone." My mom said.
"Okay." She sighed walking off.
"She's fine, Mama." I said.
