After a while, I woke up on what I assumed was Maria's bed. Nobody else was there. I had no clue what time it was. I walked back out to find my friends.
Eliza ran up to me and helped me to everyone else. "Peggy! You've been asleep forever!"
"How long?" I asked rubbing my head.
"Three hours, mon amie!" Laf said.
"Am I still drunk?"
"Walk." Alex said.
I walked.
"No. You're not drunk." He responded.
"Thank god."
"Do you have a headache?" Eliza asked.
"A little. I'm fine though." I looked around everyone was here- Alex, Eliza, Laf, Herc, Sally, Angie. Wait! Where was John?
"What's wrong?" Sally asked.
"John."
"What?" Alex asked.
"John. Where is he?"
"Aw, does someone miss their boyfriend?" Angie teased me.
"He's not my boyfriend!"
"But you want him to be!"
"Shut up!"
"Peggy likes John!"
"Shut up!"
"Peggy likes John!"
"Shut up!"
"Peggy likes John!"
"Shut the fuck up!"
"Do you really?" Herc asked.
"Yes! Fine I like John! Happy?" I sat on the counter. My happiness faded.
"Aw, Peggy." Eliza said.
"He said he liked me."
"What?" Alex asked.
"He said he liked me!"
"You were drunk!" Angie said.
"But he said it! Ask him!"
"Alright." Angie said. "Alex ask him!"
"No!" He shouted.
"I'll do it." I said.
"What?" Alex asked.
I walked up to John. He was talking to someone. Martha! They were talking and then they kissed. I stopped dead in my tracks. It felt like everything stopped. I felt the tears rush down my cheeks. When they stopped kissing, John looked at me. I'm pretty sure everyone else was looking at me too.
