A Black and a Weasley

Chapter 3

Me and Hermione we're both up and ready early so we had plenty of time to get to class. First period we had transfiguration and potions and this afternoon we have flying. We are in class writing down notes from our book when I hear the doors swing open and Harry and Ron run in out of breath and me and Hermione roll our eyes at them.

"Whew! We made it! Can you imagine the look on McGonagall's face if we were late?" Ron says as McGonagall transforms from a cat back into herself "That was bloody brilliant!" Ron says to her

"Thank-you for that assessment Mr. Weasley. Perhaps it would be more useful if I transfigured Mr. Potter and yourself into a pocket watch. That way one of you might be on time." Professor tells him

"We got lost." Harry tells her

"Then perhaps a map? I trust you don't need one to find your seats." Professor tells them while shaking her head

"There will be no foolish wand-waving or silly incantations in this class." Professor Snape says as he storms into the class "As such, I don't expect many of you to appreciate the subtle science and exact art that is potion making. However, for those select few who possess the predisposition. I can teach you how to bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses. I show you how to bottle fame, brew glory, and even put a stopper in death. Then again maybe some of you have come to Hogwarts in possession of abilities so formidable that you feel confident enough to not pay attention" Snaps says and I nudge Harry who isn't paying attention". Mr. Potter, our new celebrity. Tell me what would I get if I added root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?" Snaps asks but Harry gives him a blank expression "You don't know? Well let's try again. Where Mr. Potter would you look if I asked you to find me a bezoar?" Snake aks as Hermione puts her arm in the air

" I don't know, sir." Harry tells him

"And what is the difference between monkswood and wolfsbane?" Snaps ask and Hermione puts her arm in the air again

"I don't know sir." Harry says

" Pity. Clearly fame isn't everything. Is it Mr. Potter?" Snaps says to him before walking to the front of the class and he began talking but I didn't really pay attention. Before I knew it, it was lunch at I made my way into the hall and sat with Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville and Seamus

"Eye of rabbit, harp sting hum, turn this water into rum... Eye of rabbit harp sting hum, turn this water into rum." Seamus says but nothing happens

"What's Seamus trying to do to that glass of water?" Harry asks

"Turn it to rum. Actually he managed to make weak tea yesterday, before" Ron starts to tell him before we hear a bang and seamus had managed to blow his goblet up "Ah, mail's here." Ron says as Owls came flying in and dropping things down. A letter landed inform of me so I carefully unroll it

Dear Lola,

Congratulations on making Gryffindor I am so pleased for you and I know your parents would be too.

please make sure you stay out of any trouble and no pranking the teachers with the twins.

I hope you are liking it at Hogwarts and that you have made new friends.

Make sure you spend plenty of time studying also.

A smile appears on my face after reading it as I really do miss Remus and I hope he is okay especially with his 'furry little problem'.
