"Look at this! I can't believe it she's done it again. Miss Granger a plain but ambitious girl seems to be developing a taste for famous wizards. Her latest prey sources report is none other than the Bulgarian bon-bon Viktor Krum. No word yet on how Harry Potter's taking this latest emotional blow."Mione reads angrily from the paper as a boy walks up to us holding a package.
"Parcel for you Mr Weasley."The boy says handing Ron a box
"Thank you Nigel"Ron tells Nigel who I notice is gazing at Harry "Not now Nigel. Later. Go on."Ron says and as Nigel leaves, I look at Ron " I told him I'd get him Harry's autograph."Ron explains as he opens up the box "Oh look mum's sent me something. Mum sent me a dress??"Ron says holding the worst ugliest piece of clothing I've seen
"Well it does match your eyes. Is there a bonnet?"Harry asks and Ron walks over to Ginny
"Ginny these must be for you."Ron tells her
"I'm not wearing that it's ghastly"Ginny says and me and Mione laughs
"What are you on about? "Ron asks
"They're not for Ginny they're for you! Dress robes" I tell him with a laugh and everyone on the Gryffindoor table laughs as well
"Dress robes? for what?"Ron asks us
"The yule ball has been a tradition of the tri-wizard tournament since its inception. On Christmas eve night we and our guests gather in the great hall for well mannered frivolity. As representitives of the host school I expect each and every one of you to put your best foot forward, and I mean this literally because the yule ball is first and foremost... a dance."McGonagall explains as we sit in her classrooom with boys one side and girls the other.
"Silence. The house of Godrick Gryffindoor has commanded the respect of the wizard world for nearly ten centuries. I will not have you in the course of a single evening besmirching that name by behaving like a babbling, bumbling band of baboons."McGonagall says
"Try saying that five times faster" I hear Fred say to George
"Now to dance is to let the body breathe, inside every girl a secret swan slumbers longing to burst forth and take flight. "McGonagall continues as Ron whispers something to Seamus " Inside every boy a lordly lion prepared to prance. Mr Weasly, will you join me. " She says as she grabs Ron and pulls him up to dance."Now, place your right hand on my waist."McGonagall instructs him
"Where?"Ron asks
"My waist."McGonagall says and so he does and a wolf whistle comes from the crowd"Now bend your arm."She says as Mr Filch makes the music start and McGonagall counts the bests" Everybody come together"McGonagall says and we all gets up George walks over to me
"May I have this dance"He asks with a posh accent
"Why of course you may" I reply in a posh manner and we begin to dance and he is surprisingly really good
"Lola, would you like to go with me to the yule ball"George asks as we finish dancing
"I'd be honoured George" I say and I give him a peck on the lips
"This is mad. At this rate we'll be the only ones in our year without dates."Ron says and Snape walks past and slaps him over the head. "Well, us and Neville!"Ron adds
"But then again he can take himself."Harry says
"It might interest you to know that Neville's already got someone."I whisper to them so Snape won't here and Ron gasps.
"Now I'm really depressed."Ron says as Fred hands him a note which reads "GET A MOVE ON OR ALL THE GOOD ONES WILL HAVE GONE!
"Well Hermione, you're a girl"Ron says to her.
"Oh well spotted"Mione replies
"Come on. It's one thing for a bloke to show up alone. For a girl it's just sad"Ron tells her
"I won't be going alone because believe it or not someone's asked me. And I said yes"Mione says before she hands her book to Snape and walks out of the hall
"Bloody hell. What about you Lola"Ron asks me
"I'm going with George" I reply
"Look. We've just got to grit our teeth and do it. Tonight when we get back to the common room, we'll both have partners. Agreed?" Ron says to Harry
"Agreed.."Harry says as Snape comes over and pushes their heads down making them groan
"What happened to you?"Harry asks as Ginny and some of her friends help Ron into the Common Room
"He just asked Fleur Delacour out."Ginny tells us
"What?"Mione asks
"What did she say?"Harry asks
"No of course." I say but Ron shakes his head"She said yes??" I ask shocked
"Don't be silly. There she was walking by. You know I like it when they walk. I couldn't help it, it just sort of slipped out."Ron explains
"Actually he sort of screamed at her, it was a bit frightening."Ginny says
"What did you do then?"Harry asks
"What else? I ran for it. I'm not cut out for this Harry. I don't know what got into me."Ron says as then Patil twins walk past.
"Hi Harry."They say to him and Harry follows them out
