Chapter 55

"Do you ever stop eating?"Mione asks Ron who is stuffing his mouth with food as the three of us sit in the great hall eating lunch with Ginny as Harry is off who knows where

"What? I'm hungry"Ron says with a mouth full of food

"Harry" I mutter as I see him standing behind Mione

"can I join you?"Harry asks

"Pardon me professor, but what exactly are you insinuating?"I hear Umbitch say from outside the Hall so we walk out of the Hall and see her arguing with McGonagall

"I am merely requesting that when it comes to my students you conform to the prescribed disciplinary practices"McGonagall tells Umbitch as they stand on the stairs

"So silly of me but it sounds as if you're questioning my authority in my own classroom. Minerva"Umbitch says as she steps up a step and Fred and George join us with other pupils watching the argument

"Not at all Dolores, merely your medieval methods"McGonagall argues as George wraps an arm around me

"I am sorry dear but to question my practices is to question the Ministry and by extension, the Minister himself. I am a tolerant women but the one thing I will not stand for is disloyalty"Umbitch says firmly

"Disloyalty"McGonagall mutters

"Things at Hogwarts are far worse than I feared. Cornelius will want to take immediate action"Umbitch says looking at us with a slight glare

As weeks past Umbitch was getting worse, a lot worse. She has been walking around with her clipboard in one hand and her wand in another ready for anyone who isn't following the rules. Filtch has been hanging up new rules above the entrance to the Great Hall so now me and George aren't allowed to be within eight inches of one another which is stupid and she banned all of the twins products. Umbitch, is has been going around our classs assessing the teachers which was funny in potions at first because she was questioning Snape about how he wanted to be the DADA teacher but was unsuccessful which Ron found amusing of course that earns him a whack on the head, but she was taking it way to far especially with Trelawney. Which is why right now we are all in the courtyard because Umbitch is sacking Trelawney

"Sixteen years I've lived and taught here. Hogwarts is my home, you can't do this"Trelawney says upset

"Actually I can"Umbitch says holding up some parchment and McGonagall goes over and gives Trelawney a hug "Something you'd like to say dear?"Umbitch asks McGonagall

"Oh there are several things I'd like to say"McGonagall tells her as the doors open and Dumbledore walks out and over to them

"Professor McGonagall might I ask you to escort Sybil back inside?"Dumbledore asks McGonagall who soon takes Trelawney back in

"Dumbledore, may I remind you that under the terms of Educational Decree Number 23 as enacted by the Minister - -"Umbitch starts to argue

"You have right to dismiss my teachers. You do not however have the authority to banish them from the grounds, that power remains with the headmaster"Dumbledore says cutting her off

"For now" Umbitch says with a smirk

"Don't you all have studying to do?"Dumbledore asks as he walks back inside and we all make our way up to the common room.

"That foul, evil, old gargoyle. We're not learning how to defend ourselves, we're not learning how to pass our OWLs. She's taking over the entire school" Mione says passing around as the four of us are in the common room

'Security has been and will remain the Ministry's top priority. Furthermore, we have convincing evidence that these disappearances are the work of notorious mass murderer Sirius Black' Fudge says on the radio

"Lola. Harry" I hear Dad say and I see his head in the fire

"Dad" I mutter as we gather around the fire

"What are you doing here?"Harry asks

"Answering your and Lola's letters, you both said you were worried about Umbridge. What's she doing? Training you to kill half-breeds"Dad asks us

"She's not letting us use magic at all" I tell him

"Well, I'm not surprised. The latest intelligence is that Fudge doesn't want you trained in combat"Dad explains to us

"Combat? What does he think we're forming some sort of Wizard army?"Ron asks

"That's exactly what he thinks. That Dumbledore is assembling his own forces to take on the Ministry. He's becoming more paranoid by the minute. The others wouldn't want me telling you this but things aren't going st all well for the Order. Fudge is blocking the truth at every turn and these disappearances are just how it started before. Voldemort is on the move"Dad continues to explain to us all

"Well what can we do?" I ask Dad as I hear a door open

"Someone's coming, I'm sorry I can't be of more help. But for now at least, It looks like your on your own"Dad says before disappearing and we get up of the floor as lightning starts striking outside

"He really is out there isn't he? We've got to be able to defend ourselves and if Umbridge refuses to reach us how, we need someone who will"Mione says looking at Harry
