A Black and a Weasley

Chapter 15

I am walking through the courtyard with the rest of the Quidditch team as we are going over to the Quidditch pitch to practice.
"I spent the summer devising a whole new Quidditch program.We're going to train earlier, harder, and longer!What the... I don't believe it!" Wood says but then the Slytherin Quidditch team walk towards us with their brooms "Clear out, Flint! I booked the pitch for Gryffindor today" Wood tells Flint
"Easy, Wood.   I've got a note" Flint tells Wood who snatches the parchment as Ron and Hermione come over to us
"I, Professor Severus Snape, do here by give the Slytherin team permission to practice today,owing to the need to train their new Seeker.You've got a new Seeker? Who?" Wood asks and they move to the side and Malfoy stands at the front
"Draco?" Harry asks
"That's right. And that's not all that's new this year" Draco says as he holds out a gleaming broomsticks
"Those are Nimbus Two Thousand and Ones. How did you get those" Ron asks shocked
"A generous gift from Draco's father" Flint says to Ron
"That's right, Weasley. You see,unlike some, my father can afford to buy the best." Draco tells him
"At least no one on the Gryffindor  team had to buy their way in. They got in on pure talent" Hermione tells Draco
"No one asked your opinion, you filthy little Mudblood" Draco tells her and Fred and George fly for Draco's throat but Wood holds them back.
"Save it for the match." Wood tells them
"You'll pay for that one, Malfoy! Eat slugs!" Ron says as he aims his wand at Draco but instead it hits Ron in the stomach and he drops to the grass
"Ron!Say something!" I say to him panicking and he opens  his mouth and a load of slugs dribble out his mouth. The Slytherins laugh at him  as Colin runs over with his camera

"Wow! Can you hold him still, Harry?!" Colin asks as me and Harry help Ron up of the grass
"Get out of the way,Colin" Harry tells him "Let's take him to Hagrid. He'll know what to do" Harry tells Me and we take him over to Hagrid's along with Hermione behind us

"Got jus' the thing. Set 'im down on that chair o'er there" Hagrid tells us and as Ron sits, Hagrid gives him a bucket and Ron brings up another slug

"Better out than in. Who was he tryin' ter curse anyway?!" Hagrid asks
"Draco" I tell him
"He called Hermione, well,  I don't know exactly what it  means" Harry says
"He called me a Mudblood" Hermione says quietly
"He didn'!" Hagrid says shocked

"Whats a mudblood?" Harrys asks us
"It means dirty blood. Mudblood's a really foul name for someone who was Muggle-born. Someone with non-magic parents. Someone...  like me. It's not a term one usually hears in civilized conversation." Hermione explains to Harry
"Yeh see, Harry. There are some wizards like Malfoy's family who think they're better than everyone else 'cause they're what  people call pureblood" Hagrid tells him
"That's horrible" Harry says
"It's disgusting!" Ron says as he brings up another slug
"An' it's codswallop ter boot.Dirty blood. There's 'ardly a wizard today that's not half-blood or less. If we 'adn't married Muggles we'd've died out long ago. Besides, they haven't invented a spell our Hermione can't do.Don' you think on it, Hermione. Don' you think on it fer a minute." Hagrid tells her with a reassuring smile

I make my way down to Snape's classroom for my detention because of the whole incident with the wimping willow. I walk into the room and i see him behind his desk doing marking so i walk over to him
"Your late" he hisses
"Actually sir-" i begin to object
"Not you, you stupid girl" He says to me and i turn and see the twins behind me with a smile "Now im going down to the feast and when i get back i expect this class to be spotless. Now it will be done without magic so i will be taking your wands for reassurance" Snape says and we give him our wands and then he walks out
"Its probably gonna be quicker if we each clean our own area" I tell the twins but the just smirk at each other "What" i ask them
"You have a lot to learn Lola" Fred says to me
"Well said Fred" George says as he pulls out his wand and makes everything spotless
"How did you do that? i saw you give Snape your wands" I ask them
"No you saw us give Snape our fake wands" Fred says to me with a smirk.
