A Black and a Weasley

Chapter 7

Hermione is now back from the Christmas Holiday so we told her how we couldn't find anything on Nicholas Flamel and she wasn't to happy about that which is why the four of us are currently in the library. Again.

" I had you looking in the wrong section! How could I be so stupid? I checked this out weeks ago for a bit of light reading!" Hermione says as Shen walks over to the table with a huge book and we all look at her and then back st the book

"This is light?" Ron asks but she ignores him

"Of course! Here it is! Nicholas Flamel is the only known maker of the Sorcerer's Stone" Hermione reads

" The what?" Me, Harry and Ron ask her
"Honestly don't you three read? The Sorcerer's Stone is a legendary substance with astonishing powers. It will transform any metal into pure gold and produce the Elixir of Life which will make the drinker immortal." Hermione reads to us
" Immortal!" Ron exclaims

" It means you'll never die." Hermione tells him
"I know what it means!" Ron snaps at her
"The only stone currently in existence belongs to Mr. Nicholas Flamel, the noted alchemist who last year celebrated his 665th birthday.That's what Fluffy's guarding on the third floor. That's what's under the trap door. The Sorcerer's Stone." Hermione  tells us

It is now dark out and the four of us are making our way over to Hagrids to let him know what we know about the stone. Harry knocks on the door of Hagrids hut and the door begins to open .
"Hagrid!" Harry says as the door fully opens

"Oh, hello. I don't wish to be rude, but I'm in no fit state to entertain today." Hagrid says and sphe begins to shut the door on us
" We know about the Sorcerer's Stone!" We  say to him
"Oh." Hagrid  says and we all walk in

"We think Snape's trying to steal it" Harry says

"Snape? Blimey, you're still on about him, are you?" Hagrid asks us
" Hagrid! We know he's after the Stone we just don't know why!" Harry tells Hagrid
"Snape is one of the teachers protecting the Stone! He's not about to steal it." Hagrid tells us
"What?" Harry asks
"You heard. Right, now, come on, I'm a bit preoccupied today." Hagrid says
"Wait a minute! One of the teachers" harry asks

"Of course! There are other things defending the Stone, aren't there? Spells, enchantments?" I say to them
" Right. Waste of bloody time if you ask me. Ain't no one gonna get past Fluffy. Ain't a soul knows how, except me and Dumbledore. I shouldn't have told you that. I should not have told you that." Harris says as Hagrid places a huge egg on the table
"Hagrid, what exactly is that?" Harry asks
"Oh, That? It's a...it's um..." hagrid says stuck for words
"I know what that is! But Hagrid how did you get one?" Ron asks

" I won it! Off a stranger I met at the pub. Seemed quite glad to be rid of it, as a matter of fact." Hagrid tells us
" Is that...a dragon?" Hermione asks as the egg cracks and a little green dragon appears
"That's not just a dragon! That's a Norwegian Ridgeback! My brother Charlie works with these in Romania." Ron explains to us
"Isn't he beautiful? Oh bless him look, he knows his mummy! Hello Norbert!" Hagrid says as he picks the dragon up
"Norbert?" Harry asks
"Well he's gotta have a name don't he? Don't you Norbert? Te de de de de! Oh! Woah! He'll have to be trained up a bit of course. Who's that?" Hargrid asks and we turn to see Draco at the window before running away
" Malfoy." Harry answers annoyed
" Oh, dear." Hagrid says

"Hagrid always wanted a dragon. He told me so the first time I ever met him." Harry tells us as we walk along the corridor
" It's crazy! And worse Malfoy knows." Ron says
"I don't understand. Is that bad?" Hermion asks
"It's bad." I say
" Good evening" we hear a voice say and we see McGonagall

"Nothing I repeat nothing gives a student the right to walk about the school at night. Therefore as punishment for your actions, 50 points will be taken." McGonagall says as we stand in her classroom
" 50!" Harry shouts
"Each. And to ensure that it doesn't happen again all five of you will receive detention." McGonagall tells us
"Excuse me professor. Perhaps I heard you wrong. I thought you said the five  of us." Draco asks
"No you heard me correctly Mr. Malfoy. You see, honorable as your intentions were you too were out of bed after hours. You will join you classmates in detention." McGonagall says and I smirk over to Draco.

"A pity they let the old punishments die. Was a time detention found you hanging by your thumbs in the dungeons. God, I'll miss the screaming. You'll be serving detention with Hagrid tonight. He's got a little job to do inside the Dark Forest" Filch says as he leads the five of us over to Hagrid who is waiting outside his hut with a crossbow " A sorry lot, this, Hagrid. Oh good God you're not still on about that bloody dragon now are you?" Filch asks
" Norbert's gone. Dumbledore sent him off to Romania to live in a colony." Hagrid tells us upset
"Well, that's good isn't it? He'll be with his own kind." I say to him
" Yeah, but what if he don't like Romania? What if the other dragons are mean to him? He's only a baby after all." Hagrid asks
"Oh, for God's sake pull yourself together man. You're going into the Forest after all. Got to have your wits about you." Filch tells him
" The Forest? I thought that was a joke. We can't go in there. Students aren't allowed. And there are... werewolves!" Draco says as a we here a howl come from the woods
"Ah, there's more that werewolves in those trees, lad. You can be sure of that. Nighty- night." Filch says as he walks of

"Right, let's go." Hagrid says and we follow him and fang into the woods which is completely dark other then the couple of lanterns we have

"Hagrid, what is that?" Harry asks Hagrid who puts his finger in a silver liquid
" What we're here for. See that? That's unicorn blood, that is. I found one dead a few weeks ago. Now, this one's been hurt bad by something. So, it's our job to go and find the poor beast. Ron, Hermione, you'll come with me." Hagrid tells us
"Okay..." Ron nervously says
"And Harry and Lola, you'll go with Malfoy." Hagrid tells us
"Okay, then I get Fang!" Draco says
"Fine. Just so you know he's bloody coward." Hagrid says as we walk our separate ways

"Wait till my father hears about this! This is servant stuff." Draco says
"If I didn't know better Draco, I'd say you were scared." Harry says to him
"Scared Potter. " Draco scoffs as we here a howl "Did you hear that?" Draco asks
"Come on Fang!" I say to the dog so it catches up

"What is it Fang?" Harry asks the dog as it stops and we see a hooded figure sucking the blood of a unicorn
"AH!" Draco screams and he runs of and the hooded figure began to sweep towards us and me and Harry fall back and then I hear a galloping noise  and I see a centaur launch as the figure and it goes away

"Harry Potter, Lola Black,you must leave. You are known to many creatures here. The Forest is not safe at this time. Especially for you" the centaur tells us as we both get to our feet
"But what was that thing you saved us from?" Harry asks
"A monstrous creature. It is a terrible crime to slay a unicorn. Drinking the blood of a unicorn will keep you alive even if you are an inch from death. But at a terrible price. For you have slain something so pure that the moment the blood touches your lips you have a half-life, a cursed life." The centaur explains to us

" But who would choose such a life?" I ask
" Can you think of no one?" He asks us
" You mean to say that thing that killed the unicorn, that was drinking its blood, that was Voldemort?" Harry questions
"Do you know what is hidden in the school at this very moment, Mr. Potter, Miss Black?" He asks
" The Sorcerer's Stone!" I answer
"Harry! Lola!" I hear Hermione shout and I see her with the others
"Hello there Firenze. See you've met our young Mr. Potte and Miss Black. All right there you two?" Hagrid asks us and we both nod at him
"Lola Black,Harry Potter, this is where I leave you both  You are safe now. Good luck." The centaur says to us before leaving
