You Scared Me

Hey, supervalorians, thank you so much for your support, I'm glad you like this book so far!  I am doing y best to write, I do like to be a couple of chapters ahead before I update just so I know I have something to update if I run out of ideas or I am having writer's block.

As I have said this book is very special to me. I hope you enjoy the ups and downs of this story. I would like to say this type of cancer is real, I'm not exactly sure if it's rare,(i did research) but don't count me on it

Mel's POV

I woke up to beeping noises, my vision my blurry and it smelt like disinfectant, and I immediately knew where I was, I was in the hospitable, I sighed, and moved my head to the side to see a figure it wasn't Cat's it was a male figure, and the only other male that I knows about everything is Jeremy, but it wasn't him

"Hi," I say

"Hi," he said with a husky voice walking towards me. I then knew who it was, I sighed I didn't want him to see me like this, why did my crush have to see me like this I think to my self.

He sit's him self back down on the chair that was right next to my bed.

"Where's Cat?" I asked

"Talking to the doctor outside, you scared us, you scared me," He told me with a somber sympathies face, I rolled my eyes.

"Don't look so sorry, you didn't do anything?" I said trying to laugh.

"So?" He asked

"you want to know what type of cancer?" I asked him trying to sit up, but when I did beeping happened.

"Oh no, no, no you need to stay laying down," he told me, adjusting my pillow. I sighed again.

"It's a type of nerve cancer I'm being treated, and its working, at least I think it is," I told him

"And is that a?" He asked waving his hands around hair, I giggled. "I haven't lost ally hair yet," I told him and he nodded. He sat down again when Cat and the doctor walked back in the room he quickly jolted up and sat on the couch across the room.

"Mel you're awake why didn't you tell me she was awake," Cat said, Chris just shrugged his shoulders, I laughed.

"So Mel, you fainted," He said concerned I nodded "Apparently" I replied "I wasn't that hungry, and wasn't feeling well," I told them

"Then why didn't you let me know, seriously Mel, you should have told me" Cat responded

"Yes, you need to tell her, so we have talked and you can go back to work in a couple of days and you will be doing light duties, we are going to keep you in here until then and get you on your next round session of chemo, after your group session if you are up for it?" The doctor explained. "Don't worry, I have written everything down for you and your boss." The doctor said I just nodded and smiled

"Get Some rest a nurse will be here in a bit to take you, to your meeting" he replied walking out leaving Myself, Chris and Cat in the room

"Mel I will call you, get some rest," Cat told me, I nodded slightly.

"So, I never really asked you, but what do you do, I mean you obviously work near the park?" I questioned Chris.

"I actually work at the center for old people, I don't really bring anyone down because it's time to myself," Chris told me.

"That lovely, so you don't wear a uniform or tie, just jeans one of your famous plaid shirts," I ask with a chuckle, smiling

"Well I wear a uniform unless you like guys with ties I can certainly wear one," he said, blushing.

"Um I like what you wear but a uniform like a nurses uniform?" I asked

"Um yeah," he said with his head down

"Whats with the look?" I asked

He sighed "I just thought that talking about nurses uniform and you being in here would?" He questioned

"it's ok. Honestly"I tell him.

"So I know you work for Cat Grant but did you do any other training, or did you go to college?" He asked me I shook my head, "I've only worked for Cat, I started in high school weekends and then when I left school I worked there every day and gradually moved up and now I'm the assistant cafe manager and really her personal assistant, and I don't mind it, I really love talking to all the people and seeing all the kids and especially all the dogs" I tell him, he smiles

"Do you have a dog?" He asked I nod "their names are Farley, Milli, and Otis". I say smiling pointing over to where my bag is. He got up and went to grab my phone, and showed him all my babies. He smiled and grabbed his phone out showing me a picture. "This is drift" he replied. "He's so cute," I say placing my hand over my heart. "That he is," Chris said, we both laughed. "Hey, maybe when your feeling better we could take our dogs for a walk together?" He asked
"Are you one of my loyal customers asking me out on a date?" I asked happily. He nod's confused "Well Cat said I could" he replied, "Did she now?" I asked. He nods. "Well then I'd love to," I say smiling we stayed like that until the door clicked open making us both jump. "Mel, did you want to go to your meeting now, they are going to wait till it's over, to do your chemo if you like?" The nurse asked.

"Um yeah sure," I said. "Um. I'll get going then see you soon" Chris said. "You can come if you like?" I said "I need a person for support," I asked "And Jeremy or Chyer aren't here," I say, He nods. "Um Is Jacinta doing my Chemo today?" I ask.

"She sure is, and she can't wait to see you," the nurse says, I smiled. "Oh and Imra is here as well," The nurse says "Thanks Andy," I say. "No worries Mel, I will just get your wheelchair," Andy said walking out of the room.
