"Oh Simon, I'm so sorry," Hadley said.

"She fell asleep and she never woke up."

Hadley gave Simon a big hug.

"Did it say anything about the funeral?"

"Yes, it's in two days. I have to leave tomorrow for England. You, Gwen and Daniel can come too."

"Ok."

That afternoon, Gwen and Daniel walked in the hotel from school.

"I can't believe you lied to me! You said it was Wear Your Underwear Over Your Pants Day." Daniel said.

"I told you I was just joking. You know me little brother."

"It's a bit quiet in the lobby,"
Daniel said.

"I know. Too quiet. Something happened."

They saw Hadley walk towards them.

"Mom, what's going on?" Gwen asked.

"Why is it so quiet?" Daniel asked.

"Because...it's a bit of a sad day, mostly for Simon."

"What's wrong?" Gwen asked.

"Simon's big sister passed away last night. She fell asleep but never woke up."

Hadley gave her kids a group hug.

"Where is Simon?"

"He's in his room. You best not disturb him, he's in a bit of a depressed state...state of grief, that's the best way to tell you. But you can go up there and give him your condolences."

"Ok."

Gwen and Daniel walked to Simon's door. They knocked.

"Come in," Simon said.

They walked in. Simon was sitting on the edge of his bed.

"What do you two want?"

Daniel gave him a hug.

"Mom told us about your sister," Daniel said sadly.

Simon smiled and hugged back. Gwen gave him a hug too. Simon had a soft spot for both of them.

"The funeral us a couple of days. Me, your mother and you two are leaving for England with me."

The next day, they left to go to the airport. They landed in England seven and a half hours later. They checked into a hotel. They walked into a room with two full sized beds with a nightstand in between them, a TV, and a balcony over looking a great view of England.

"Wow! This is so awesome!" Daniel shouted.

"Wow!" Gwen shouted too.

"Grown ups sleep on the left bed and the children sleep on the right," Hadley said.

Simon looked at the view of the city.

"I can see my old acting school from here."

Daniel looked with him.

"That's the biggest building I have ever seen!"

Simon chuckled.

"It sure is Daniel."

The very next day was the funeral. The preacher was on the podium.

"Good morning ladies and gentleman, family and friends, we're here to mourn the loss of our beloved Sarah Ferguson. Sarah was a huge loss in the Ferguson family, she was a wonderful daughter, sister, and mother. She was never married..."

Simon noticed his mother sitting next to him.

"Where's Melissa?" He whispered.

"She didn't want to come, she said her mum's death's upsetting enough as it is."

"I don't blame her. They were very close. Last time I saw her, she was celebrating her fourteenth birthday."

"You should see her, she matured since, almost sixteen and she's a mixture of you and Sarah. A bit stubborn but a kind young lady."

Simon smiled.

"I knew she'd turn out like me somehow."

"Oh, that's not all, she wants to be an actress and singer."

"Oh, I knew she would! I knew she would!"

They continued to watch the preacher say his long sermon.

Soon, it was the burial in the cemetery. They gathered around for the reading of the will. The preacher read the will.

"My property and everything in it will go to my daughter Melissa Ferguson. But, she will get it after she turns eighteen. Until then, she will go into the custody of my brother Simon Ferguson."

Simon turned to Hadley.

"I promised Sarah when she was pregnant with her but I don't know how to parent!" He whispered.

"Don't worry Simon, I will help you,"

"Thank you,"

"You're welcome."
