Back at the hotel, Hadley warmed up TV dinners for Simon and the kids.
"Why do we have to watch Power Rangers?" Gwen asked.
"Because Daniel likes this show. You'll have your turn in a little while," Hadley replied.
"I don't mind watching these kind of shows. It's science fictiony. Used to watch Doctor Who all the time," Simon says.
"Doctor who?" Daniel asked.
"Doctor What?" Simon says sarcastically grinning.
With a hint of sarcasm in his voice, he continued.
"Doctor Who, What, When, Where, and Why. A group of science fiction heroes who fight Cyberman and R2-D2 like thingys called Daleks."
Daniel nodded.
"Ok, the commercials are on, so it's Gwen's turn," Hadley said.
Gwen snatched the remote from her little brother and flipped through until she found the one she wanted.
"Woo! A Bowie interview on MTV."
"Oh, I used to have posters of him in my dorm room! He is so hot!" Hadley said.
"He still is! Look at him! He's fifty now and still amazing," Gwen replied.
"Melissa's a Bowie fan," Simon said.
"Oh really?" Gwen asked.
"Hmm hmm."
"I never met her before and she's already my best friend!"
"Where is she anyway?" Hadley asked.
"She decided to spend time alone and she's flying by herself to New York."
"She seems like the introverted type."
"Nah, it's just her mother's death is taking a huge toll on her. She'd rather be alone for a little while, at least until she gets to New York. We're leaving tomorrow."
They continued eating dinner and watching TV, they left.
