Melissa and Simon were in his room. Simon was putting his shoes on.
"Uncle Simon, I can't believe you're gonna propose to Hadley!"
"Are you happy about this or not?"
"I am happy. I'm always happy for you and your beaus."
"Mel, I still love Hadley after twenty years, also, she makes a good mother figure for you, and you seem to be getting along swimmingly with Gwen and Daniel."
"You get along with them too. I know you always weren't zoned for children but you loved me like I was your own. You're a softie around Daniel."
"Because you need a father! Hadley will make a good step aunt and mummy figure. But what if she rejects, she might love Robert."
"Robert, the investor that comes here every now and again?"
"No Melissa, the guy who just waltz' in the hotel uninvited because he's a creepy guy."
Melissa giggled.
