Gwen and Melissa were in Melissa's room. They were laying on her bed.

"Cool Bowie poster."

"Thanks, it's from Rolling Stones in 1984. For his Tonight album."

"I kinda like him too. Simon told me you're a big fan."

"Ever since I can remember. When Labyrinth came out, it was just a kids movie for me."

Daniel walked in.

"Gwen, are you ok?"

"Yeah."

"What happened?"

Melissa sat up and sat him in her lap.

"Daniel, Gwen's boyfriend turned out to be a bad guy. He's been treating her awful. Look at your sister. This is a very teachable moment for you. Don't ever, ever harm a woman in any way shape or form. They don't deserve to be treated like this."

Melissa was in tears. 

"Promise us Daniel, please."

"I promise."

"If you get angry, go to somewhere private and cool off. Because what Kyle did to your sister is the most sickening thing ever to exist. Look at your sister's current state. I want to remember that for the rest of your life."

He nodded. He hugged Gwen. 

"I'll be right back."

He left and came back with Lucy.

"Lucy will cheer you up."

He sat her on the bed. Gwen picked her up and held her.

"Wittle Wucy, you're so cute!" Gwen said in her puppy voice.

"Yes," Melissa said.

They giggled.

Simon was in the kitchen. He put some ice in a bowl, sat it in the sink, he put his swollen hand in it. Hadley walked in.

"Hi Simon, what happened to your hand?"

"Well, I was Christmas shopping and I got into a fight. Huh, people shopping around the holidays, am I right?"

"Yep. They all rush in and battle to the death over who takes what in the store."

"Gwen's being physically abused by Kyle."

"What!?"

"I heard them talking in the lobby about it."

Gwen and Melissa came in.

"Gwen!"

Hadley rushed to her and hugged her tight.

"Are you ok!?"

"Yeah."

"Simon told me about Kyle."

" Uncle Simon how did you know!?" Melissa asked.

"I listened in on you and Melissa before I headed out."

"Simon, what exactly did you do?" Hadley asked.

"I put shopping aside, Gwen, do you remember the night of your party, you were with this boy in your room, I caught you and I kicked him out."

"Yeah."

"I told you your mother means so much to me, I felt protective of you."

"Aww Simon," Hadley said.

"As soon as I heard, the daddy figure I am..."

He held up his injured hand for them to see.

"You didn't!"

"I did!"

"I love you!"

Gwen ran and hugged Simon.

"Uncle Simon!"

"Oh my God!"

Simon kissed Gwen on top her head.

"Alright, I'm going to the ER, my hand really hurts."

They left.
