The pizzeria's grand opening was tonight. Hadley came out in a pretty gray dress. Simon was reading on the lobby's couch. He whistled at her.
"Wow, you look darling! You know we're going to a peetza place, not a fancy restaurant."
"I know that Simon but it won't hurt to dress nice."
"I guess I'll go change."
Simon left. Melissa walked downstairs wearing a Bowie shirt and shorty shorts, not too short though.
"Melissa, you look...cool."
"Thank you Hadley. You look beautiful yourself."
"Thank you!"
"Where's Uncle Simon?"
"He went to go change. 'It's a pizzeria, not a fancy restaurant,' he said," Hadley said imitating his voice.
"Was he wearing a suit?"
"Yeah, he always wears suit or something like that."
"I think I know what he's gonna wear. An ugly sweater or something, he dressed like Steve Urkel once to embarrass me and unintentionally himself."
"Oh don't make me picture him dressing like that, oh god."
"I know right?"
Hadley nodded
"Uncle Simon has a geeky side, he rarely shows it. He's a fan of Doctor Who, teenhood favorite show."
Hadley giggled. Gwen and Daniel walked downstairs.
"Mom, look what I did to Daniel."
Daniel's hair was combed back.
"Ooo, Daniel, who's the lucky lady?" Melissa asked.
"I don't have a girlfriend!"
"I was joking! You look handsome by the way."
"Thank you."
"Are we ready to go?" Gwen asked.
"Nope, we still got Simon," Hadley said.
As soon as Hadley replied, Simon walked back to them with an ugly sweater on and regular pants.
"Bill Cosby called, he wants his sweater back," Melissa said.
They giggled except Simon.
"Very funny, I think it looks good on me, plus it's freezing out."
"It does look very warm Uncle Simon."
"It is."
"Is everybody ready?" Hadley asked.
"Yep."
"Let's go."
Soon, they arrived at the pizzeria. There was a long line, it was backed up!
"Oh no!" Simon said.
"I hate lines!" Hadley said.
"It's only the grand opening, let's be patient," Daniel said.
"Daniel's right, we need to be patient. It is it's grand opening after all," Melissa said.
Simon nodded and grinned.
