Alex couldn't hide his smile anymore and how his eyes started to sparkle only made him cuter she thought. She felt that he was a great guy and that he did not try to act like someone he was not.

Of course he tried to impress her the whole evening but he was still himself, she could see that.

And suddenly she got an idea.

It was something that she knew could get her in a lot of trouble and that she could really regret afterwards, but on the other hand this whole night was just so great and she thought that he was in fact the only guy she would go there with. Normally she was withdrawn and suspicious when it came to men, but Alex had something about him that made her feel like being home, something that made her feel actually save. Most people would call her crazy for what she was up to, reckless and even stupid, and she will probably say the same about her action when looking at it later, but in this moment she did not care. Alex, even though they were only about to get to know each other, made her feel alive. It was a feeling she had missed in some time now and she did not want this feling to vanish again, she needed to hold on to it, to save it. She did not even care how bad this could turn out and from what she had seen so far Alex was the right guy for an adventure like that. If she learned one thing in the past, the it was to live the moment, and she was doing exactly that.

 She smiled at him

"What would you say if I told you that I know the perfect place to continue our conversation?"

"I would probably say 'why are we still standing here?' "

 She smiled satisfied

"Great! It's a bit away so better we"

 - "I can call a cab if you want" but Alex immediately saw that this was no good idea by the look appearing on her face.

"Or we simply take the underground...if we can get there with it" he said quickly. She noded and started walking into this direction.

He followed her immediately and soon they reached the station. He only prayed that no one would recognize him in there. It was dark in the pub so no one could really see that it was the Alex Turner, but there in the train it was bright. He did not want her to know that he was famous. He wanted to remain Alexander and not the arctic monkey. With the light he finally saw the bruise on her cheek that her ex had left. She did not even try to cover it with makeup and for him it looked like she wore this blue mark with pride. Probably proud that she ended this relationship and showing the world that she was not ashamed of making her own decisions and living with the consequences. In his eyes Ruby was simply amazing, so different from any woman he was out with. Luckily no fan was around and pretty soon they got out again into the colder getting night.

"From here it's still some minutes" she said quietly and they got into the next street.

He saw that she was obviously freezing pretty bad and soon she felt how something was wrapped around her shoulders. She looked at Alex who had taken off his own jaket that was warming her now.

"Alexander..no it's ok. Please take it back. You'll freeze and get a cold. I don't want to be the reason for that"

she said, trying to make him take it back but Alex only smiled and shoke his head. Indeed he was freezing now but he saw how glad she was to get some warmth from the jaket and he just wanted to do everything right.

"Fine..but don't blame me if you lay in bed tomorrow and having the cold of your life!" she answered trying to sound fake grumpy but her smile betrayed her and she couldn't hide how much she enjoyed this whole situation. She took a deep breath and a mix of cigarett, aftershave and mint played around her nose, coming from his leatherjaket and made her smile to herself.  She was still a bit distant and you could say cold, but that was just her usual manner. She was not arrogant or coldhearted, simply not the fainting kind of woman.

Alex had no idea where she would take him or what she had in mind for the rest of the night. It was half past midnight by now and he couldn't imagine what she was planning in this rich part of the city. His excitement kinda grew as she stopped in front of a high building.

It was a bank or office or something like that and he had litterally no idea what would awate him in there. He actually would concider her capable of robbing a bank with him, and actually Alex would goin in with her.

She laughed at his surprised look and like she would read his thoughts she shoke her head, making her curls jump slightly "Don't worry quiff-boy..we're not going to break in there, well not tonight"

She knocked on the glassdoor and his curiousity nearly killed him.

Soon a figure came near them through the dark hall and the door got opened.

Her smile grew bigger when she saw Alex's face that was one big questionmark.

 "Hey Carlos"

"Good evening Miss Ruby" the huge man in the security uniform greeted her back and looked suspicious at Alex but held open the door.

"How is your son doing? Is he in school yet?" she asked the man as she walked inside, showing Alex to do the same.

He followed her and the warmth that surrounded them felt like medicine.

"Yes Miss. He's doing pretty well."

"That's wonderful! And your wife? Did she get the job?"

"Yes. Thanks for helping her, that was really kind of you."

"Well...I just knew someone who knew someone else, but good to hear that it was successul"

The stranger noded and lead them to an elevator.

Alex could see that they had some routine in whatever this all was about.

He did not even try to understand this whole situation and simply waited for what would follow and hoped for an explanation.

The elevator opened and 'Carlos' handed a key to Ruby "enjoy" he said with a light smile.

"Thanks. We'll be out in time, as allways" she said before this man left to his desk with the monitores that showed what the cameras around the building filmed.

She entered the elevator and looked at Alex who still stood in front of it.

"You want to join me Sheffield-boy?"

He noded and joined her, giving her an asking look but his heart made a little jump when she pressed the button for the highest floor with the discription 'bar' next to it.

She smiled at him and couldn't hide her amusement about him not knowing what was actually going on.

"Ok..I'll use this ride to explain" she said and took off his jaket and gave it back to him, quickly and not too accidentially touching his hand.

"I'm playing there from time to time and you know...I kinda made a deal with the boss. He's kind of an old family friend. He can call me whenever he needs a pianoplayer for a night and for that  I have free access whenever I want. That's why I know the security guy down there."

He noded slowely "ok...makes sense...but for what do you have access?"

"Don't be so impatient Alexander, you'll see!" she answered smiling and couldn't hide her own excitement.
