You're so dark (an Alex Turner fanfic)

Alex got into the tattoo studio with a cup of a Starbucks mocca frapuccino and a bright smile on his face. It was raining again, as allways in London as it seemed and his leatherjaket was wet al over. Just like his hair, but he had styled it back in the entrance so he looked goregous again when he got to the main desk.

 Alice, one of Ruby's friends he allready met sat behind it and smiled at him.

 "Mr. Monkey, nice to see you, but sadly your lady is at work" she said and pointed at a closed door, from where he could hear the typical noise of stiching a tattoo.

 "She'll be busy for at least two hours in there, that guy want's Gandalf all over his back and it's the secnd session"

 Alice was a pretty girl he thought, bright eyes, blond hair and all over with tattoos.

 Just like his girl.

 "No problem...Could you maybe give her that from me" he put the cold Starbucks drink on the desk

 "and do you have a post it, for a message?"

 Alice smiled and handed him paper and pen "Sure, I'll give her your message"

 He scribbled something down and pinned it to the drink where the Starbucks guy even wrote 'Ruby' on.

 "Thank's Alice, you're an angel. And could you maybe turn on the radio at about eleven?"

 "No problem Alex, and yeah, I will turn on the Radio you lil' lovebird. See you soon"

 "Have a nice day and thanks again" he answered and gave her a smile before he left again to meet the boys at the London radio Station for their little Interview and the two song's they gonna play.

 Alice smiled and knocked at the Tattoo Room and entered.

 Ruby was completely in her element, leaning over the back of the client.

 "Your lil'Sweetheart was here, left you something" she said and put the plastic cup with the note next to her friend.

 Ruby smiled and took a look at the note, smiling even more when seeing  his handwriting

R U MINE? Meet for lunch, I'll get you

She turned around the key to lock the Tattootudio when she felt a hands at her hip and smelled a cigarett together with a kiss behind her ears, as she wore her dark hair as a ponytail.

 "Got my message luv?"

 "You mean this romantic, cheesy song you've been playing for this 'one special person' as you said? Sure. I loved it"

 She turned around and saw him smile as he took a drag from his cigarett.

 He held it between his lips, for her to take it. She did so and also inhaled deep.

 She then put her lips on his and hooked into his arm, keeping his half smoked cigarett.

 "So and where do you want to kidnap me for my lunchbreak?"

 "Don't now...you choose"

 She laughed "Sure about that? You know I know places..."

 "Just bring us there, I'll pay" he announced

 "Allrighty...but no complaining afterwards!"

"Ruby...?" "Yeah love?"

 "Where the heck are we? What is this...limbo?"

 "It's called 'running sushi', honey"

 "I'd rather run outside again.."

 "I said no complaining, you let me choose!"

 "Yeah...I did..."

 "Come on you grumpy teddy, let's give it a try, ok. I actually love it here"

 She smiled and pulled him to two free bar stools in front of the thing that looked like a supermarket checkout for him, where the small plates and bowels with raw fish and noodles and other things went past them.

 A waiter came to get their drinkorder.

 "Oh come on! Don't act like my grandpa! Let's try it at least!"

 She smiled and handed him chopsticks.

 He observed the wooden sticks and then lifted one eyebrow "next time I'll think twice, weather to let you choose where we eat!" he mumbled but had to smile.

 Their drinks came and he allready payed for both so they could eat whatever they wanted.

 "How long is your lunchbreak?"

 "One hour and a half, enough time to stuff as much as I can into me of this delicious fish" she said and immediately grapped the first plate with those for him pretty strange looking fishrolls.

 She took one between the chopsticks and then held it in font of his mouth

 "And one for Ruby" she said like she would talk to a small child and not a grown up man.

 He looked suspicious but then opened his mouth to let her lead the sushi into it.

 He chewed for a moment where she observed him and ate the second piece of it on the plate.

 "And?"

 "Ok...I have to admit....it's actually fucking delicious...but fuck...did you really have to choose the spiciest one?!"

 She laughed sweet and patted his knee under the table

 "Just eat, ok"

 "And...I just have to pick it from that moving thing here?"

 She noded and took another small plate for herself.

 "o...ok..." he said a bit unsure and wanted to get one as well but instead nearly knocked over a cup with soup as he nearly caused a pile-up"

 Ruby sighed and took his hand away from the food that was passing them

 "Honey, just tell me what you want, ok?"

 "Fine" he pouted and pointed at a plate with good looking rice.

 "You're fault when bringing me here" he mumbled but couldn't hide his smile as she kissed his cheek. Both did not notice the paparazzi in front of the window, who recognized Alex and took a few pictures of them.

"That was actually better than I thought at first even thoug I feel like my tongue will drop off from all those spicy noodle things"  "See, I told ya it's fun!!"

 "When will you be finished here?"

 "At about six I think...I have a few clients with smaller tattoos, I hope I 'll get home in time"

 He smiled every time she called his appartment 'home' . But by now it truly was, even Heisenberg had moved in by now. She still had her appartment with most of her things of course, but she spent most of the time after work at his.

 "The boys asked if we would goin them in the pub tonight...Matt will bring his hopefully future wife as well, so you will also get to know her..but only if you want..I mean if you want your peace after work I would under-"

 "Of course I want! So before that I'll get to mine to get dressed and everything, ok?"

 "Sure. How about I'll pick you up there?"

 She noded and gave him a last kiss before entering the Studio where Alice and Joey, the  owner who was 35 by now allready sat and had watched them through the window.

 "You cute little lovebirds" Joey stated and only caused that she sticked out her tongue into his direction and laughed.
