Before dinner was served some speeches and toasts were given and it was just like some normal wedding. The dinner was nice and the drinks that were served during it even better and atone point Ruby thought she might get a drunk puppy into her bed tonight, but he behaved and just some adorable red cheeks showed that he had some drinks. After the cake was eaten it was time for the freshly married couple to open the dancefloor with their dance when suddenly Alex got up, stroke over Ruby's shoulder and got to the front. He stopped at someone who gave him something and as soon as Ruby saw it, her heart started melting. She really simply had the best fucking man on this planet.
He was holding a guitarcase when stepping in font of Cate and her husband and smiled. By Cates look everyone could see that the surprise was succsessful.
He had arranged it with Chris before and so a stool and microphone allready stood there for him.
Alex sat down and looked at the people all looking at him "Well...I thought that dancing into your marriage with a new song i wrote would be better than doing it to Celine Dion...but of course if you want me to leave I can..."
Cate smiled and some tears gathered in her eyes when she leaned to him and gave him a kiss on his cheek. She would not want anything more than him playing for her first dance.
The couple got into position and Alex tuned the guitar.
"Ok...this one is for all those people who love someone more than they can say...and especially here for our freshly married couple...this is the first time I'm gonna play it...it's called 'I wanna be yours'
She felt two warm familiar hands on her shoulders and closed her eyes for a moment. "I bet you look good on the dancefloor!" he said happy and squeezed her shoulders softly. Ruby sat alone at the table because everyone had left for the dancefloor, except her. "So I'll better put on my dancing shoes, right...you sexy little swine!" she answered. Alex smiled and leaned over her to put a kiss down on her cheek before leaning to her ear "And...do you like your coffee hot?"
"You are allready my coffeepot" she whispered and turned on her chair to her side where he was standing over her and looked down like he would watch the most precious thing of the whole world.
He held out his hand for her. She looked asking but took it as he pulled her up from the chair and to his chest "You probably have two dances before Isabella steals me from you and I am just not able to stand her charme"
Ruby laughed and gave him a quick kiss "Well I had no idea that monkeys can dance.."
"Oh they can! You should find out then!"
Ruby smirked but before he could pull her to the dancefloor she hugged him tight "Even though I know this song was ment for Kane, it was beautiful" she whispered into his ear and felt how he smiled. "Don't be jealous of my Miles, honey! Every single word was just for you!" he whispered back and gave her a kiss. Ruby closed her eyes for a moment, smiling to herself nce more because he was just such an lovesick, romantic, emotional puppy. Some people said he was a dick and that he did not know how to behave, that he was arrogant and the fame turned him into someone bad, but it was just the opposite she thought. He was playing his role in the whole being-famous-game. He told her himself that he's playing the role that the people expected from him. He was someone else when he stood on stage than he was when he laid on his couch, Heisenberg on his belly and watching Breaking Bad with her. But that's just normal. She loved both of the Alexanders she got to know. Once she read in a magazine when she was waiting at a doctor that 'Alex Turner was born to be plastered across teenage girl's bedroomwalls' and had to smile. For those girls he was the rockstar, the sexgod, the man they would never have, but he was so much more, he was the man who got to the store to get her favourite ice cream at eleven in the night when they were watching a movie and she suddenly had this need for icecream, he was the man who brought her Starbuckscoffee with a cheesy pin-it message to work, he was the man who waited for her across the street when she was finished with work, leaning against his motorbike, ready to spend the weeked somewhear at the sea, where he had rented a small cottage for those days to surprise her. This list was endless and all she could say that he was the man she loved like no one else. She smiled at him "Thank you Alexander!" and put her lips softly against his. That was all he needed as reward for the song. He had written it one night when he couldn't sleep and just sat there in the dark bedroom against the head of the bed and watched her sleep next to him. The next day he experimented on it with is guitar and so this song came out. He liked it. He even showed it to Matt and the others who agreed. Matt worked on a drums part for it and so slowely a new song for the next album was born. And the fact it was her's made him proud and happy.
