You're so dark (an Alex Turner fanfic)

good bye -part1-

sorry if i post this twice, but wattpad has removed this chapter i posted earlier tonight?!

"I hate you" Ruby whispered and crossed her fingers with Alex's, whos hand laid on her chest while he hugged her from behind, laying in bed.
 He had laid his forehead against her shoulder, eyes closed and simply pushed her closer towards him.

"I know" he whispered back before planting a kiss on her shoulder. He put his chin down on her shoulder and watched how she played with his fingertips with her own. Ruby then sighed quietly and exhausted and closed her eyes, taking his hand back on her chest.

Alex pulled the duvet higher over her, not minding if he would freeze a little, she was more important, she needed him to be there a hundred percent for her.

"It's not forever" he said quietly, knowing himself what a weak argument it was "But it's so fucking long" she said sounding sad. She wasn't angry at him, how could she, it was his job, his life. And she also always knew it would happen, so for the past month she had tried to just ignore the fact that the big Arctic Monkeys Tour was ahead. But that night, before he would leave, she couldn't ignore it of course.
 She did not want to talk about the topic and blocked whenever Alex started with it, so he desided to leave it. Alex knew how hard this time would get for her and he couldn't do anything.

After a while she turned around in his arms and put her hands on his chest so he put his around her, embracing her like he wouldn't plan to ever let her go again.

"You'll see, it's over before you even realise I'm gone" he tried but Ruby already put her indexfinger over his lips "Don't even start with such phrases" she whispered and then kissed him.

Alex put his chin on her head as their lips separated again and she simply laid her cheek against his chest . "I'll send you something from every country we're in" he said and felt how she smiled again.
 "And I'll send you some naughty letters with extra photos" she answered and made him laugh quietly.

Alex stroke gently through her dark hair with his fingers and kissed her forehead. "I'm not going to sleep...it's going to be more than five months until I'll have you back here, I won't oversleep the last good hours" she said quietly and Alex noded "I won't sleep as well, same reason" he whispered and kissed her again. He was just as sad to leave as she was even though he was looking foreward to the tour, he hated to be away for so long.

"I'll go to the bathroom" he said and sat up in bed but he wasn't surprised when he felt her arms around him, her hands over his chest and her own chest against his back while she also slowely put her legs around his hip, clawing onto him like a small monkey does to his mother.

Ruby laid her cheek against his back between his choudler blades, not moving one inch. Alex smiled and took her hand to put a kiss on her knuckles.
 "So I have to go pee with you on my back, hm?" he tried to make the situation a bit better.
 "I don't mind" she mumbled against his skin.
 "We still have like three hours" he said softly and she loosened her grip.
 "But I want a good amount of time of those three hours with you potato laying on me, doing what you can do best, naked!" she said and let herself fall back down on the bed.
 Alex smirked and got up, bowing over her and got to her ear "I promise, you will get exactly that" he purred into her ear and bit her hearlobe softly before going to the bathroom.

Ruby smiled to herself but also swallowd some of the upcoming sadness. She loved him so much that it hurt her. She never experienced something like that, she never knew she could love a person so much, but she did. Those weeks ahead would get everything but easy, she knew that and saying good bye later would be hard, but she also knew he loved what he was doing, he needed concerts, screaming fans and all that, but he also needed her, she knew that and felt proud that such an incredible man loved her.
