"You know what...it was a mistake to buy this jaket for you" "Why?" Ruby laughed as she took a cigarett from the pack he was holding towards her.
Alex looked grumpy "You havn't seen how these guys there have-" but she immediately put her hand over his mouth to make him stop.
"I don't even want to hear that stuff!" she gave him her softly-warning look and moved her hand to his chest.
"But-" he started again knowing exactly how she'll shut him up this time. And he was right, her lips were on his' in the matter of seconds.
"You do that on purpose you sexy little swine, I know that" she said quietly after she ended the kiss and found him grinning wide at her.
"Here, I brought you coffee" he said and gave her a paper cup.
"And something to kill all those evil bastards daring to look at me?" she grinned and took a sip from the hot vanilla Latte. He knew her coffee habits by heart.
He gave her his 'trying to look grumpy' look but she only gave him an "aww...grumpy-puppy" and rouffled through his hair that was allready a mess from taking the helmet on and off.
They only had about half an hour till they would get to the beach Alex had planned, but both wanted a coffee break and the bike needed some fuel, so they stood on this parking slot and had a smoke by this occasion.
"But this jaket looks perfect on you! Really I love it" he said and played with the sipper of her jaket. Ruby smiled and noded "Even though it was way to expens-" but now he put a finger over her lips "No! We won't talk about that now." he smiled "Aleeeeex...?"
"That's either your 'The cat peed on your floor' or the ' I want something' voice"
"Second"
"Ok...and?"
"There will be a bigger charity-thing at the bar, and Andrew does not want me to play, but he invited us to this evening, as guests. And...I need to tell him weather we're coming or not"
"What a question, of course we're coming. I mean, if you want and if we have time."
"Next week, wednesday"
"Yeah, sure, nothing's planned there" he smiled.
"Good, but don't-"
"I won't forget it, hun" he assured and gave her a kiss.
Ruby smiled "Good, or you'll really sleep on that couch this time"

"Ruby climbed off the bike before Alex had even turned off the engine. He smiled as she took off the helmet and stepped on the small wall after which the beach and sea laid. She stood on it, maybe half a metre over the ground and looked at the sea while the wind was playing with her dark hair.
Alex also got off the machine and simply watched her for a moment.
She spread her arms a little to feel the wind, her eyes closed as he guessed and taking deep breaths from the rather cold sea breeze.
He also stepped on the wall next to her and took her hand and put a kiss on it's back before keeping it inside his warm hand.
They kept silent for some moments, enjoying the sound of the sea and the calmness of the moment, it was exactly what they needed after the last weeks full of stress.
Ruby took his free hand and turned to him, got a little on her tiptoes and gave him a calm and lovefilled kiss. Their lips were moving in perfect sync while the wind was messing up their hair.
Ruby looked at him and grinned "What a Rockstar you are" she tried to get his hair back in place but it refused to do so and she gave up and simply kissed him again before putting her arms around him and laying her cheek against his chest "I love you" she whispered and felt how he planted a kiss on her head "I love you too pumpkin" he answered and looked at the sea just like she did.
They kept standing in this cuddeling position for some moments.
"Honey..."
"hmm"
"I...I need to tell you something" he started, he hasn't told her yet and knew he needed to.
"That's your 'the manager called'-I need to tell you something" she said and looked into his eyes.
His eyes were telling her how sorry he was and he nodded.
"We have to be in France in two weeks, I told him that this is exactly the only date he should not plan anything and that I need it to be free...I tried everything, but he said that he has no influence in it and that we need to be there an...I'm really sorry...but it's exactly at your birthday" he looked into her eyes, he was really sorry, but Ruby knew from the beginning that he sometimes had no influence in things like that.
But she was still smiling "Alex, you know I don't give much on my birthday. I don't really care about it. Really that's allright" she tried to make sure but he shoke his head "But I care....and therefore...you have no other option than to accompany me to Paris!" he also smiled by how her face changed.
"What?!"
"Yes...we're having a gig and interviews on the weekend of your birthday in Paris...and I told our manager I would have one condition, that he books everything for one more person"
"You're kidding me, right?"
Alex smiled and shoke his head "We'll be in Paris, and you'll accompany us! I won't be there all the time, so you can do some things on your own while I have to be at interviews"
She had her arms around his neck sooner than he could say 'baguette' and hugged him tight, Alex knew she allways wanted to see Paris but never had time or the right money for it.
"I hate you so much" she whispered and gave him another kiss.
Alex grinned "Do you really think I would let you alone on your birthday?!"
She looked at him and bit her lip "Paris?"
"Paris" he said smiling and stepped down from the wall and held up his hand. She took it and also jumped down, less clumsy than him and so they started walking the path along the sea.
"Paris" she whispered and shoke her head, making him smile and kissing her cheek.
