"Oh yes, and I had a look in some parenting books at the bookshop, I bought two or three and have them here" he said, handing Ruby a heavy bag.

"Alright" she replied

"I read a bit in it, and really, you have to decide a few really important things, like-"

"We don't even know if it's a boy or a girl"

"Yeah yeah, but still, it's never too early to think of that"

"Mhm..."

"Also I had a look on the internet, and not far from here are like a hundred pregnancy-yoga studios, and also a "Cooking for my pregnant partner-lessons" so if you like, I'll send you the link"

"Hmmm" only came from Ruby, while she sipped at her peppermint tea.

"May I have a look in the fridge?"

"What?"

But he was already opening it "Ahh...mhm...yes, what I thought. Darlin, you need more vitamins!! They are essential for your baby! Maybe I could go shopping with you this week?"he said and looked at her, expecting an answer.

He was so into all this that telling him no, would break her heart so she said yes and that she would meet him in three days again.

He closed the fridge again, then took a look around the kitchen.

"Mhm...ok....yes" he inspected everything "Oh and of course you have to make the whole appartment baby-save"

"Yes" she sighed and gave up in telling him that they already thought of all that and that she still had like six whole months.

He was talking about some special pregnancy pilates when Alex stepped behind Ruby and put his arms around her and kissed her behind her ear. She felt how he had to grin.

Alex then but his hand on her belly, smiling satisfied by the small bumb that was forming. He loved to feel her belly, he knew himself it would take a good amount of time until she would have a real and big round belly, and he swore he would only buy her clothes that would underline her belly, so he could see and feel his growing baby all the time.

Ruby smiled and put her hand over his' . Alex pulled her softly closer against his chest and both simply stood there, smirked and listened to Miles how he went on about special cooking tecniques and stuff he had read about in mother's guides.

"So how high is the bet already?" Ruby asked and took a bite from her pizza.

They sat in an italian restaurant with Miles, Matt and also Breana.

Matt grinned "Do you mean, the bet about if Alex produced a boy or girl, or the bet who will be the godfather?"

Ruby looked confused and Breana explained: "Well, those two idiots have a bet running whether Miles or Matt should be the godfather for lil' baby-Turner"

"And we have no choice in that, I see" Alex said from behind his coke, since he would be driving later.

"Your child surely needs a godfather! You are both only childs, and Baby-Turner needs a cool second Dad for sure!" Matt added

"Oh thanks, charming" Alex mumbled "So how is the bet going?"

"300 pound on Miles and 200 for Matt" said Breana who found this whole thing more than amusing, just like Ruby did.

"And 500 that it's a girl to 700 that it's a boy"

"The fuck, how many people take part for god's sake?" Alex asked, Ruby sensed that he was getting a little tiny bit pissed because of this stupid bet. She put her hand on his thigt to calm him.

She knew he hated it when people were taking too much interest in his private live. Ruby undertood that this pissed him off, but she could also understand that Alex Turner becoming a Dad was something that many people were interested in.

She saw that Alex calmed down indeed.

"It's just us, the rest of the band and your mom"

"MY mother??"

MAtt grinned "Indeed, and she thinks it's gonna be a boy"

This made Alex laugh and indeed saved the situation.

"It's cute how they all care about us" Ruby said and took a vanilla pudding from the fridge, then followed Alex out on the balcony.

He put the thick blanket around her and sat down next to her on the couch they had put out.

She started eating the pudding while Alex smirked.

"You know Miles would tell you now, that stuff like that is probably pure poison for our pumpkin, as he read in some vegan-mother's guide"

Ruby laughed and put a spoon full in front of him, he munched it, then kissed her soft on her cheek.

"But indeed...I've thought about this whole godfather/uncle topic" he said then and Ruby noded.

"I mean...of course we have many friends that we could ask..." he added

"But those two would be perfect" Ruby ended his sentence, making him smile bright.

"And they already scratch out each others eyes" Alex said

Ruby put her feet up and cuddled herself to Alex's side while he put his arm around her and played with one of her curls between his fingers.

"So what shall we do?"

"Ask them both?"

"You think thats possible?"

"You're Alex Turner, everything's possible for you rich asshole" she said laughing.

Alex rolled his eyes but smirked and gave her a kiss

"Is that ok for you then?"

"Of course! They would be the perfect uncles! And they are your best friends"
