Chapter 39

Jens POV

"Well... you know how I want to move to Nashville and all that?" "yeah why?" "well I was wondering if you would move with me in October?"By this time we were off the slide and with my family. I can't believe this. I'm happy for Luke but I don't know if I'm ready to just pick up and go. "Luke why couldn't you have waited till the end of the day to ask me this?" I asked kind of annoyed. "I don't know. I just wanted to know if you would come." "I don't know Luke. I've just gotta think about it. Now that's the only thing I'm gonna think about all day."

For the rest of the day I didn't really bother with Luke a lot. This Nashville thing has been on my mind a lot and I can't shake it.

We left the park and I rode back with Kim and Gary cause Mason wanted to ride back Luke. We got in the car and Kim said "spill it." "what?" I asked. "Oh come on. Don't play stupid. Something's bothering you and we all know it. " Gary said giving me the 'your kidding right?' look. "Luke wants to move to Nashville and he asked me to go with him. He asked me after the 1st ride and I've been thinking about it all day. I just don't wonna pick up and leave again. But I know my Luke and I know that if I say no he won't go. I just don't know what to do."

"Well I think y'all need to talk more about it. Like college plans and stuff like that. You could always sell your house and have that money to take with you. Y'all just need to get on the same page as each other." Gary said while reaching to the back seat and patting my knee. "thanks y'all. I'll talk to him tonight I guess." "that's all y'all better be doin is talking. No monkey business ya hear?" Gary said in his 'protective of his little girl' voice. "Gary... dude. Chill. We won't and we haven't. I was raised better than that. Now honeymoon night might be different. Luke gets frisky sometimes and after marrying me you never know." I said smirking. "oh my gosh. Eww. We don't want to know about it." Kim said. "oh come on! It's not like y'all haven't done it. Mason is living proof." I said crossing my arms and trying not to laugh. "Ok whatever." Gary said.

Luke's POV

Mason rode with me back to the house so Jen rode with Kim and Gary. Mason said "Dude what's wrong? You haven't been right all day." I told him the whole story about asking Jen and he said "I think you should talk to her tonight. Y'all should get on the same page about everything. If she doesn't cooperate let me know. I know how to handle her." He let out a chuckle at the end. "Thanks man. I'll talk to her tonight."

We got back to the house and we all went to change. "Luke?" "yes darlin." "I'm sorry for today. I jus-" "don't apologize. I shouldn't have asked you then. I'm so stupid." I said looking down. She walked over to me and kissed me real good. "Babe. I'm so proud of you. I just need to think. Can we talk tonight?" "Of course Jen." I leaned down and got so close I could feel her breathe.

I crashed my lips onto hers which led to a heated make out session. " What do y'all want for sup-" Gary barged through the door and said. "Uncle Gary. For the love of Pete. Have you ever heard of this thing. it's called knocking. it's where you make a fist and tap on the door then wait for the person to answer." "Well you too shouldn't be sucking each other's faces off."

Jens POV

"Well you should try knocking some time." He gave me the death glare then said "Anyway do y'all want to go out for supper?" I looked at Luke. "sure. We'll get ready." Luke said. "you better." Gary said then shut the door. We busted out laughing. "Well that was awkward sauce." I said. "yep."

I grabbed a bra and underwear then went to my drawers. I got my jean cut offs and a white cami with a blue flowy tank top over it. I headed to the bathroom. I shut the door and locked it. I took off my bathing suit and hopped in the shower. I washed my hair and body then I got out. I put on all of my clothes. I opened the door and Luke came and gave me a kiss the he shut the door and got in the shower. I decided to let my hair dry naturally.

When Luke came out he had on khaki shorts and a grey v-neck. "you look so handsome." I said then gave him a kiss. "you look mighty fine yourself beautiful." I smile as we intertwined our fingers and walked down the stairs. "alright where do y'all want to go?" Gary said. "How about Cracker barrel?" Brittany suggested. We all agreed and got in our cars.

Luke's POV

We had a nice meal and we headed home. We talked in the living room for a while the we headed to bead after saying goodnight to everybody. I guess it's time to talk to Jen now.
