Chapter 22

Luke's POV

"I'm really excited about moving in with you babe!" I said as the waiter came to get our order. I got ribs with sweet potato fries and Jen got fried chicken with mashed potatoes and okra.

"I am too Luke!" There was a ling pause.... "Luke what's wrong babe?" she asked with concern on her face. "I've just been thinking about our future..." "In a good way?" "yes!! of course! Like do you want kids?" "yes! I definitely do. Do you?" "yeah I really do! You are great with kids. Chloe loves you!" "thanks Lukey! So how many and what gender?" " I don't know. I guess two or three and I want two boys and a girl so the boys can protect their little sister." "I totally agree. You're pretty smart there Luke!" "I know. I mean look at me. you can tell I'm an Einstein!" "your way better looking than Einstein!!!" we both laughed and our food came. I blessed it then we ate.

Jenna's POV

I loved our little conversation today at supper. it was really sweet! We finished eating and got back in Luke's truck and he drove to a field. He came over to my side and helped me out. We got in the bed of the truck and were standing up. By this time it is dark out. Luke said as he had his hands around my waist "I don't know for sure about anything, but there is one thing I can be certain of." "And what's that?" I asked. "That I love you so much more than this world and that I want to spend the rest of my life with you!" I started crying "Luke that's the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me." he smiled and pulled something out of his pocket. he said "No this isn't an engagement ring,that will come, but I want you to have this promise ring so that never forget that I will ALWAYS love you." by this point I was balling. He slipped the ring on my finger and we kissed a llllooonnnnggg kiss then we looked into the night sky and saw a shooting star. We both made a wish and I'm pretty sure it was the same wish. I looked into his eyes and got lost in them. I was snapped out of it by Luke kissing me again. This is by far the best night of my life!!! A great life with an amazing boyfriend!
