Midoriya's POV:
It was Friday, finally. I was already tired when I woke up and couldn't wait for the weekend.
I pulled myself out of bed and to my bathroom to get ready. I splashed water on my face and blinked a few times before I could fully see my messy mop of hair. I quickly showered and got dressed before heading to the kitchen.
"Good morning, Izuku. I'm glad you woke up earlier today."
I smiled in return and sat down at the table. My mom put a plate of eggs, bacon, and toast in front of me.
"Thanks Mom!" I quickly ate my food in a comfortable silence.
"Do you have any plans for the weekend?"
"Oh..um, not yet.." I said, mouth full of food. My mom smiled softly at me before speaking.
"There's a cat cafe near by..You should go with some of your friends."
"I'll ask Uraraka~chan." I looked up at the clock. "I'm going to head to school now. Bye Mom!"
"Bye sweetie, have fun at school!" I waved my goodbye and rushed down the stairs.
The walk to school was too silent, so I put in my earbuds and played some upbeat song in my playlist.
At first, I was humming quietly to myself, but eventually that wasn't enough. I started singing the lyrics out loud.
(I don't know upbeat songs, so you'll just have to deal with the one I'm listening to now.)
Run run run away
Meet me in our hiding place
Find me where we'll make our escapeCome come come away
We don't need them anyway
Find me where we'll make our escapeSlow it down
Cause I can't breathe
So much noise
That I can't seeI'm forgetting
Who I am
Why can't they see
That I'm not perfectCause I'll never be
What they want me to be
I have to believe
That I'm good enoughI need a release
Somewhere I can be free
And find the me
I used to knowSo I'm going back
To the place it began
Under the tree
At the top of the hillWe'd share all our dreams
Or not say a word
That's where I know
Just who I amLay with me
Just be still
Feel it all
Disappear
DisappearNow I'm letting go
And won't put on a show
I finally believe
That I'm good enoughYou made me strong
To know all along
I am the me
I used to knowSo-
I turned my head slightly and saw someone behind me. I jumped and quickly pulled out my earbuds.
"You have a lovely voice." The boy told me. I smiled softly.
"T-Thanks Todoroki~kun."
"What song were you singing?"
"It's a song called Escape." I answered. (It's a good song. You should listen to it if you haven't already.)
Todoroki nodded and we walked to school in a kind of awkward silence.
"Good morning Deku~kun!" I turned to see Uraraka approaching happily.
"..Did you say Deku?" I asked her.
"Yeah! It's cute." She answered.
"I guess...Kacchan calls me Deku as an insult."
"It doesn't really sound like an insult..Can I call you Deku~kun, Midoriya~kun?" She asked, showing me her best puppy eyes.
"I-I guess..." I answered before looking around. Todoroki was gone.
"Oh! Do you have any plans this weekend?"
"Not yet.." I answered for the second time today.
"There's this really cute cat cafe near by and there's finally an opening! We should go together!"
"Okay..that sounds good."
"Perfect! I'll make reservations when I get home tonight. How does Saturday at 2pm sound?" Uraraka asked me.
"Sounds good." I answered with a smile.
"We should probably go before we're late."
"Yeah that's probably a good idea." I responded. Uraraka nodded and walked with me to the classroom.
Right as we sat down, Mr. Aizawa walked into the room.
"Good morning class, today is free study. Just don't be too loud." That was all he said before flopping onto the ground and zipping up his sleeping bag.
I quickly pulled out one of my many notebooks and began writing down each of my classmates and their quirks. The first page started with Kacchan. I wrote down his strengths and weaknesses with his quirk and sketched out his hero outfit. I did this with all of my classmates.
"What're you doing, Deku~kun?" Uraraka asked.
"O-Oh, hi Uraraka~chan." I smiled softly.
"Is that me?" She pointed to the drawing of her in her hero costume.
"Mmhm! I'm writing down what each of our quirks can do." I answered.
"That's really smart, Deku~kun."
"Thanks, Uraraka~chan." She smiled in response and leaned back over her desk.
Once the final bell rang, everyone stood up and packed up their things. I put away my notebook and pencil before standing up and happily walking out the door. By the time I left the classroom, most everyone was already gone.
"See you tomorrow, Deku~kun." Uraraka called as I left the room.
I was in my own little world as I walked down the kind of crowded halls. Somehow, I managed to stumble on my own feet. I knew I couldn't catch myself, so I just accepted my fate and mentally prepared myself for the concrete floor. But instead, I felt a half warm and half cold body catch me. I looked up at the angel who saved me and couldn't help but smile.
"Are you okay?" He asked quietly.
"Yeah, thank you for saving me. Again."
"I couldn't just watch as someone was about to face-plant in concrete." Todoroki said quietly.
"Oh, well thanks again. Are you doing anything exciting this weekend?"
"Not really. I have work."
"Oh, that's no fun."
"I guess."
"So I'll see you on Monday?"
"Sure. Stay safe, Midoriya~kun."
"Thanks, you too Todoroki~kun!" I smiled and waved as our paths split. I happily skipped home, excited for Saturday. I wonder what kind of cats there'll be.*Skip To Saturday Afternoon*
I woke up kind of late today. I checked the clock to see it was 12:58pm. I picked up my phone and saw a text from Uraraka.
U- Sorry, can't make it! Tsu had an emergency. The reservation is still there, so you can bring someone if you want. See you on Monday!
I sighed softly. I knew I couldn't ask someone now, so I'll just have to go alone. At least there'll be cats, right?
I got out of bed and got ready. I was wearing black pants and a white All Might shirt. I slipped on my red shoes and smiled brightly in the mirror.
"I'm heading out now!" I called, just in case my mom was awake.
I walked out of the door at 1:40 and had 20 minutes to get to the cat cafe. I happily walked to the station not letting the fact that I'll look like a loner at the cafe bother me. I popped in my earbuds and pressed shuffle on my playlist. The ride to the cafe was pretty short, which I could've easily walked if I wanted to.
I paused my playlist and pulled out my earbuds. Stepping into the cat cafe, I saw someone who I thought I wouldn't see.
"Hello, welcome to Tokyo Cat Cafe, do you have a reservation?" The boy who spoke kept a calm expression until he noticed me.
"Midoriya~kun?" The boy looked surprised to see me.
"O-Oh..hi Todoroki~kun. Yeah..I was supposed to come with Uraraka~chan, but she couldn't make it..."
"Oh..Well you can sit where ever. I'll introduce you to the cats once they're done with their lunch." Todoroki told me with a very soft smile.
"Thanks Todoroki~kun." I smiled back at him and sat down at one of the tables with two chairs. I looked around and saw a beautiful white Persian cat walk up.
"What a beautiful cat.." I half murmured to myself.Hey guys, sorry for taking so long to do this chapter. I had my first day of school today, so unfortunately that means chapters won't come out as often and they'll be much shorter (maybe 600-800 word chapters). I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but my education has to come before my passions right now.
Also, sorry for the weird ending. I dunno what I was doing XD.
Anyways, I'm going to bed.
I'll see you in my next chapter, bye bye for now my little kittens~Word Count: 1432 Words
