Midoriya's POV:

"Class, Kirishima and Todoroki have gone missing. If anyone has any leads on where they've gone, speak up now."

The class was silent after Aizawa's message. I think we were all too shocked to say anything. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Kacchan spoke up.

"So what're we supposed to do now?" He asked, his eyes never leaving the ground. It broke my heart to see such a naturally strong person like him so beaten down.

"We inform their parents and wait for the police to find any leads." Aizawa answered.

"That's not good enough! The villains could be hurting them, or worse..." He paused and finally looked up at Aizawa, his red eyes dark. "...And we'd just be sitting here."

His words were a heavy weight on my shoulders. My legs felt weak. He's right... Shoto~kun could be dead right now and we're just standing here.

"Mr. Aizawa, isn't there anything we can do to help? I can't just sit here while my classmates are in danger." I said.

"Who said we won't be doing anything? I'm taking the next few days to develop your rescue skills. We will be working on rescue missions and alternate who's the victim, villain, and hero. I hope that you all will do your best during our next few classes. You're dismissed for the day."

Everyone started chatting, some about our assignment coming up, while others were talking about walking home in groups. I took this opportunity to walk over to Kacchan.

"Hey Kacchan, can you come home with me today? I want to show you something."

"What?" His eyes were no longer glaring holes into the ground.

"It's a surprise! But um, if you don't come for that, at least come to see my mom. You two haven't seen each other in a long time and I know she misses you."

"Fine."

"Yay! Thanks Kacchan." I smiled brightly. I just hope it's enough to cheer him up.

We walked home in an awkward silence, our feet scuffing the ground. I didn't really know what to say to him. I'd never seen him so attached to another person, and it kind of surprised me. As we walked up the stairs to my apartment, Kacchan spoke.

"What's this surprise?"

"A secret! But don't worry, it's nothing loud or annoying."

"You'd know something about that, wouldn't you?"

"Kacchannn." I rolled my eyes, feeling myself smile softly. Even if he's calling me loud and annoying, at least he's back to his normal self. It's so much easier to be around him when he's like this. When he's quiet, you never know what he's thinking.

I unlocked the apartment door and let him in first.

"Hey Mom! Kacchan's here!" I shouted as we slipped off our shoes.

"Oh, okay!" She responded and hurriedly walked over. "Hey, Katsuki. Long time no see." She smiled and hugged him softly.

"It's good to see you too, Aunt Inko." He responded quietly in the hug. After a few moments, they pulled away from the hug.

"So what's up? Is there something at school? It's not normal for you to just show up for no reason." My mom asked.

"Well...something happened and Shoto~kun and Kirishima~kun were kidnapped." I heard my mom's gasp as her eyes went wide.

"Oh my gosh! Is the school doing something about it?"

"Well they filed the report to the police and Mr. Aizawa told us that we would be working on rescue training. I'm sure he doesn't intend on us doing the rescuing, but maybe as an opportunity to motivate us to learn."

"Tsk, if they can't rescue Kiri fast enough, then I'll do it myself."

"You know how much trouble you'd be in, right Kastuki?" Mom asked him.

"At this point, I don't really care. They're just villains, I can take them on."

"Please be careful, Katsuki. I know your mother, Izuku and I would be very upset if anything happened to you." Kacchan only grunted in response, ending that conversation.

"So what did you want to show me anyways?"

"Oh, that's right! Come with me!" I told him and lead him to my room. I opened the door and went straight for Small Might's enclosure. I picked up the black and white bunny and held him out for Kacchan.

"What?"

"He's my bunny! His name is Small Might." I smiled brightly. Kacchan took Small Might and snorted softly.

"Only you would call a bunny Small Might."

"Well what would you call him?"

"Lord Murder." He answered confidently. I couldn't help but laugh. "What?!" He demanded, his eyebrows furrowing.

"It's just- It's just so you!"

"Well of course." He held Small Might up to his face, Small Might curiously squeaking at him. "Who gave you to Deku?" He asked the bunny, who he knew wouldn't respond.

"He was my Christmas gift from Shoto~kun." I told him.

"I didn't ask you." He responded, holding Small Might close to his chest. He sat down on my bed, setting the bunny on his lap. Surprisingly, Small Might didn't leave.

"I guess he likes you." I smiled softly.

"Well no duh."

Todoroki's POV:

I leaned my head back against the wall, my wrists hurting from the ropes that tied them together. Kirishima was sitting next to me. I couldn't tell if he was sleeping or just really quiet. In either case, I didn't want to disturb him.

I took a deep breath and let it out slowly. The headache from before was only a dull pain now. I closed my eyes and tried to think of anything. I felt my body grow heavy and even the thought of opening my eyes seemed exhausting. I slouched into the wall, my consciousness drifting off.
