Chapter Eight

Todoroki's POV:

I stumbled towards Midoriya for a few moments before falling on top of him. I heard him hiss in pain as his back hit the gravelled ground. It took me a few moments to realize our situation and then panic.
"I'm so sorry Midoriya~kun, are you alright?" I asked him, quickly getting off the smaller boy.
"Yeah, I'm okay..ouch!" He frowned softly when he sat up. The fall will definitely bruise his back if we don't do anything about it.
"Do you want to ice your back? It might help.." I offered.
"It's better than doing nothing." I offered him a hand, which he gladly accepted. He stood up slowly, trying to figure out if anything else was hurt.
"I'm sorry Midoriya~kun. I guess I wasn't paying enough attention to my feet."
"It's alright Todoroki~kun. You catch me all the time." He offered a bright smile. I only nodded.
I walked with Midoriya before I realized that I had no idea where we were going.
"Um, Midoriya~kun..where are we going?"
"Oh! Um..I guess I just started walking home. Sorry."
"That's okay.."
We stayed quiet as we walked to his home. He unlocked his door and walked inside, slipping off his shoes once he was inside. I took off my shoes as well.
"Um, where do you store your towels? I can put ice in it to help the bruising.." I looked around.
"They're stored in that closet." He pointed to a closet in the hallway. We both started walking in that direction, but Midoriya turned and walked into a room to the left. I picked up a towel and watched as ice formed on my right hand.
I silently walked into the room and saw Midoriya standing in front of a mirror. He was looking at his back to see if a bruise had formed yet.
"O-Oh, hi Todoroki~kun.."
"I have ice.." I murmured awkwardly as I walked towards him.
"Oh, thanks. Ohmygosh that's so cold!" He exclaimed as I put my towel wrapped hand on his bare back.
"Sorry.."
"It's okay. It was just unexpected." He looked up and smiled brightly at me. I could only nod in response.
"Thanks for coming with me and being so helpful."
"Helpful?"
"You paid for my lunch and you always catch me. That's really helpful."
"Oh..it's no problem. Anyone would do the same."
"No they wouldn't..Kacchan wouldn't catch me if I fell."
"Isn't Bakugo~kun the one who pushed you?" I asked him.
"Oh..yeah."
"Why?"
"I dunno. I guess he was just grumpy."
"But you still consider him a friend?"
"We've known each other since we were kids, so I guess."
"Okay.." I decided to drop it before I got more frustrated. It wasn't right for Bakugo~kun to do something like that to Midoriya~kun.
"But enough about that..You didn't get hurt, right?" He seemed genuinely concerned for me.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I moved my right hand away from his back. "There's definitely going to be a bruise."
"That's okay."
"Maybe try sleeping on your stomach tonight. It might be as much elevation you can get."
"Okay. You seem like you know what you're talking about."
"Yeah.."
There was a moment of silence.
"Are you okay Todoroki~kun?"
"Yeah."
My phone started ringing. I saw who it was and frowned, answering the call.
"Be home in less than 10 minutes."
"Okay."
The call ended and Midoriya looked up at me with a confused expression.
"Who was that?"
"My dad. He wants me home."
"Oh, okay. Well thank you again, Todoroki~kun." He smiled brightly and quickly wrapped his arms around me in a hug.
"Izuku I- Oh, I didn't realize you had a friend over." I heard a mature and feminine voice say. I awkwardly pulled away from the hug and looked at the small green haired woman.
"Welcome home Mom!" He smiled brightly, not realizing that his mother just saw him hugging another guy while shirtless.
"Hello Midoriya~san..Um, Midoriya~kun fell and I wanted to make sure he got home safely and.."
"Thanks for taking care of my little Izuku. He's quite clumsy." Ms. Midoriya smiled softly at me.
"I should probably get going now.."
"Okay, you're welcome to come by anytime."
"Thank you."
"Bye Todoroki~kun! Thanks for your help."
I nodded softly.
Ms. Midoriya walked me out while Midoriya~kun went to get ice cubes for his back.
"Thanks again for taking care of Izuku. He seems a lot happier now that he's at U.A. and he's made a few friends."
"Of course.."
"Well I should let you go now. I hope to see you again soon." She smiled brightly.
I said my goodbyes and walked down the stairs. I walked in silence to my home, thinking about the events that had just happened.

Midoriya's POV:

I heard the door shut and quiet footsteps approach my room. By now, I had changed into a clean shirt and put my other shirt in the laundry basket. I was laying on my bed with the ice pack on my back when Mom walked in again.
"Sooo...is Todoroki a friend or is he a special friend?" The way my mom wiggled her eyebrows at me made me smile softly. And then I realized what she had asked. I sat up quickly, knocking the bag of ice off of my back.
"O-Oh, um T-Todoroki~kun is just a friend."
"Okay, whatever you say." She smiled brightly at me. "So how was your day? Other than falling, of course."
"It was good. Uraraka~chan cancelled plans, so I ended up going alone, but it wasn't that bad. I was able to talk to Todoroki~kun and visit with the cats."
"Oh, well I'm glad you had fun...I'm just going to be in the living room if you need me."
"Okay, thanks Mom." She smiled softly in response and walked out of the door, shutting it softly behind her. I laid back down, putting the ice back on my back. I looked at my phone waiting for anything.

Todoroki's POV:

I sighed.
My body was sore and would probably be covered in bruises tomorrow.
Endeavor wanted me to come home for training once he realized that my shift was over.
I flopped on my bed and picked up my phone.
(T- Todoroki, U- Uraraka, M- Midoriya)

T- Sorry to bother you, Uraraka~san, but do you have Midoriya~kun's number?
I waited, watching the seconds pass on the clock.
U- Yeah, of course! It's...
T- Thank you.
U- No problem!
I typed in the number she gave me and typed out the message and erasing it several times before I could come up with something to say.
T- Hi, this is Todoroki, Uraraka~san gave me your number. How is your back?
M- Hi Todoroki~kun! I guess my back is fine. I'm probably going to take the ice off of it in the next few minutes. Are you okay?
T- Yeah.
M- Okay! I think I'm going to take a nap, there's really nothing better to do.
T- Okay, sleep well, Midoriya~kun.
M- Thanks, you too!
M- I mean- when you do sleep.
I smiled softly imagining the cute way Midoriya panicked.
T- Haha, thanks.
M- See you on Monday!
T- See you on Monday.
I turned off the phone and closed my eyes.
"A nap does sound good.." I murmured quietly as my conscious drifted into the safe place called sleep.

Hey my little kittens! Sorry if the endings seem forced or awkward, I'm just being my awkward self.
I was writing out a scene that I have planned for the future (and it fit on an index card, but it was a lot. ak4754010 can vouch for me.) and it took me over an hour to write and I'm not even done yet XD. It's a lot. And it's only part of a chapter. Rip.
It should be interesting, er well..I hope it is.
Anyways, I hope I'm able to update soon ^^. I've been putting a lot of my time into ice-skating, so I can't say how often I'll be able to post. (I've been going at least twice a week. Sometimes three to five days. It's a lot, but it's wonderful ^^)
