Midoriya's POV:
"Izuku, it's time to get up!" I heard my mom call. I blinked a few times, my mind still all over the place. I had been staring at my ceiling for hours, unable to fall back asleep after I woke up at 2am. I looked over at my clock to see that it was now 5:30am. I had thirty minutes to get ready, eat breakfast, and get to the school. I pulled myself out of bed and walked to my bathroom. I wasn't really feeling tired, so I didn't bother to splash my face. I showered and put on some comfortable clothes, putting my All Might hoodie on as I scooped up my bag. When I walked to the kitchen with my bag, my mom looked up from the breakfast she was cooking.
"Good morning Izuku. Did you sleep well?"
"Not really..I was really excited, so I couldn't really stay asleep for long." I told her.
"Oh..well maybe you'll be able to sleep on the bus."
"Maybe."
"Regardless, just make sure you have a good time and be safe." She said and smiled at me.
"I will."
"Good. Now, eat up." She handed me a plate with bacon, eggs, and toast.
I smiled at the sight of the delicious looking food and began to stuff my mouth. The food was gone in a matter of a few minutes. "I should probably head out, Mom." I stood up and brought my now empty plate to the sink. (A/N: Sink and skin have the same letters. I just imagined a sink made out of skin T-T)
"Alright, just please be safe. Oh- and text me when you get there, okay?"
"Okay, I will." I hugged my mom and picked up my things. 'I'll be back soon!" I told her and walked out the front door. I walked to the school by myself, the nature around me singing a peaceful melody. "I think this trip will be fun." I said aloud, smiling to myself.
Once I got to the school, it was 6:05am. I saw Mr. Aizawa as well as a few of my classmates.
"Oh look, it's Midoriya~kun!" Hagakure announced, waving her gloved invisible hand at me.
"Oh, good morning Hagakure~chan!" I smiled brightly and walked over to her. I looked around and saw that a few more of our classmates were here as well. I noticed a yellow caterpillar sleeping on the ground and a soft smile appeared on my face. I couldn't blame Mr. Aizawa for using this opportunity to sleep, but I was too excited to try and sleep. I checked my phone and saw that it was 6:10. I looked around and saw that Todoroki wasn't here yet.
"Where is he?" I murmured aloud.
"Who?" I heard a sudden feminine voice ask.
"Gah! Uraraka~chan, you spooked me!" She smiled at me.
"Sorry. Who are you looking for?"
"Todoroki~kun."
"Oh. I'm sure he'll be here soon." We both looked around until Uraraka said "Speak of the Devil." I saw Todoroki approach, but something was different. I walked up to him to see bags under his eyes and a little bit of sweat on his forehead.
"Are you okay, Todoroki~kun?"
"Yeah, I just couldn't sleep last night..and ran here."
"Oh, well I'm glad you're here now. The bus is going to leave soon."
"Oh.."
We walked over to the rest of the crowd.
"Alright class, start getting on the bus." Mr. Aizawa said and started getting up.
We all filed into the bus and sat in seats. I sat down in the window seat and set my bag by my feet. Todoroki sat right next to me, his bag also by his feet.
"Are you excited for the trip?" I asked him.
"I think it'll be interesting...and it'll get me out of the house."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah.."
I looked around and saw Aizawa walking into the bus, sleeping bag in his arm and sat down in the front seat. He stayed sitting for a few moments as the rest of my classmates got on the bus. He then stood up and counted us all before speaking.
"Alright, the ride will be three hours, so get comfortable." With that, he sat down and the bus started moving.
Some people started talking, some started eating, but Todoroki and I were silently looking out the window. I leaned my head against the window and watched as we passed by cars and buildings.
Todoroki's POV:
I watched as Midoriya leaned his head against the window. He looked tired. When I first walked up to him, I saw small bags under his eyes, so maybe he didn't sleep well either.
I looked out the window and watched as we drove past each building. Eventually I saw Midoriya's head bobbing up and down, as if he was dozing off to sleep. His head stopped bobbing as his head laid on the window once more.
"Midoriya~kun?" I called softly, to make sure he was asleep. As I suspected, there was no response. I murmured quietly to him, "Sleep well, Midoriya~kun."
