Midoriya's POV:

It has been a week since Shoto's birthday and everyone was back at school like normal. My burns we're still recovering, the pain not as bad as before. I smiled to myself softly when I saw Small Might sitting in front of me when I woke up. I put a hand on his back and lightly pet him.
"Good morning, Small Might." I murmured quietly. He only looked at me in response. I pulled myself out of bed and walked into the bathroom. I got ready and rewrapped my burns. The doctors said that I should keep them wrapped until my burns had completely healed. When I went back to school on the Monday after Shoto's birthday, everyone demanded to know why half of my face was wrapped in white medical bandages. All Mr. Aizawa was frown and told me to look after myself better.
I slipped on my shoes and picked up my bag and umbrella.
"I'm heading to school now, bye Mom!" I called before unlocking the door. I shut it behind me and locked it. I slowly walked down the stairs since my depth perception was still a little weird with my right eye covered. (A/N: Basically his face is wrapped at an angle. It's kinda like an eyepatch for you cheek I guess XD.)
Once I was down the stairs, I opened the umbrella and slowly walked to school. I stayed close to the wall since Shoto wasn't here to help me. I was much better about seeing the dips in the ground than I was last week. Now my mom was fine with me walking down the stairs by myself and walking to school. My mom was the kind of person that would fret over me even if I was fine, but it means a lot that she cares so much.
Once I made it to school, I walked to the classroom and sat down. I laid my right cheek on the cold desk and shut my eyes since I still had about twenty minutes before class. I relaxed a little and listened to the nearby conversations. I heard footsteps approach me. I opened my eyes as the voice spoke softly.
"Izuku~kun, there's a spider on your desk." With that, I quickly jumped up and away from my desk.
"W-Where?!" I demanded, my eye wide with fear.
"Right here." The voice belonged to Shoto as he calmly walked over to my desk and picked up the terrifying creature.
"How do you do that?!" I asked as he held his hands over the spider.
"They don't bother me. I'm going to set him outside." He murmured and walked out of the classroom. I couldn't resist the urge to follow him.
"I didn't know you were so scared of spiders, Izuku~kun." He commented after a few moments. We reached the door and Shoto set the spider down and shut the door again. I sighed with relief.
"I'm going to stick you on all of the spiders from now on." I told him as we walked back to class.
"Okay."
We walked over to his desk. He sat in his chair while I sat on his desk and twirled a bit of his hair around my finger. I smiled and looked down at his multicoloured eyes. He had a relaxed and content expression on his face. I kept my right hand on his desk while I leaned forward and kissed his forehead. I was surprised that I didn't accidentally smack my head on his. I guess my depth perception is getting better! I giggled and leaned back.
"What?" He asked.
"My depth perception is actually getting better with one eye!"
"I'm proud of you, Izuku~kun." I felt my eye light up.
"Aw, thanks Shoto~kun!" We smiled at each other until the door flew open. Our attention turned to see who just got here and ruined our privacy.
"Midoriya~kun! You know it's rude to sit on desks!" My friend said while flailing his arms about.
"Sorry Iida~kun." I murmured and hopped off the desk. I watched as Iida walked in, Uraraka and Tsuyu following behind.
I walked to my desk and sat down. Looking up at the clock, I realized that class would start in ten minutes. Shortly after Iida walked in, the rest of the class started walking in. The bell rang and Mr. Aizawa walked in, his yellow sleeping bag in one arm.
"Alright class, this week we will be mainly focusing on school work instead of our quirks since written exams are coming up. Which means I have to teach instead of sleep." He murmured the last part to himself, but I could hear it from the third row. I could hear some people sigh at the sound of a written exam.
"Yes, I know, so we should stop wasting time and get started." Aizawa murmured and looked down at a paper on his desk. The lesson started and I took down notes as he talked.

The bell rang and the class was gathering their things.
"Alright, don't forget to finish your assignment before class." Aizawa grumbled and laid down in his sleeping bag. The rest of the class shuffled out of the room leaving me with two other people, Yaomomo and Shoto. I picked up my things and walked over to Shoto.
“Hey, wanna get ice cream on the way home?” I asked him. His eyes were wide with surprise and was that confliction in his eyes?
“Um..” He checked his phone and then looked around.
“I mean, you don’t have to if you’re busy!” I told him quickly.
“No...I didn’t mean that..I just...I’d love to... but...” He seemed to force a smile, the last word of his sentence almost silent, and I felt guilt wash over me. I frowned softly.
“Is everything okay, Todoroki~kun?” I saw him freeze as he was putting his things away, his heterochromatic eyes dark. Everything was fine this morning...I wonder what happened. He was different after lunch, as if he was suddenly paranoid about everything. Is it because of me? Is he not safe?
“Todoroki~kun?”
“Yeah..” He murmured.
“Is there something wrong? You've been acting all paranoid since lunch.”
“It's nothing really..I have something I need to do with my father.”
“Oh..well I'll see you tomorrow then.” I smiled softly at him. It was slightly forced, but that's because I didn't want him to worry.
“Thank you Izuku~kun..” He murmured and finished packing his things. “I'll see you tomorrow then.” He stood up and tucked in his chair.
“Bye Shoto~kun.” I saw the darkness fade from his eyes as he looked at me. We waved to each other as he walked out. I felt my frown form again as I walked back to my desk to grab my things.
“He's not mad at you or anything.” The soft voice made me jump slightly.
“Yaomomo~san? How do you know?” I asked her.
“I've known him for a while. When he's mad, he gets a scary look on his face. He was more afraid today.” She answered and I felt my throat begin to bubble with fear.
“Why?” I was almost too afraid to ask.
“I don't really know the specific reason, but even if I did, it wouldn't be my place to tell. Sorry Midoriya~kun.”
“It's alright. I should probably head home. I'll see you tomorrow Yaomomo~san.” I said and picked up my things.
"Alright, see you tomorrow." She murmured and waved. I walked out of the classroom and heard a sigh escape my mouth. I held onto my umbrella as I walked out of the school.
The walk home was bright, so the burns on my back were a little sore. The umbrella did a great job of keeping most of the sun off of my back, but it still hurt.
As I walked up the steps to the apartment, I listened to the soft noise the stairs beneath my feet made. Pulling out the key from my pocket, I closed the umbrella and walked inside, the safety and warmth of home greeting me.

Hey my little kittens! Sorry this took a while to get out, I've been a little sick and my school work load just sky rocketed.
Anyways, I don't really have much to say other than thank you so much for being patient with me and continuing to read this story.
All of your comments make me smile so much and I'm so incredibly thankful for each one of you ^^
That's all I have to say for now, I'll see you in my next chapter. Bye bye for now my little kittens~.
