Todoroki's POV:

I buttoned my black work shirt and walked out of the staff room, my full body apron in hand. I saw Yaoyorozu and Izuku leading the cats out and picking up some cat toys from their room. The two spread out the toys, making sure they weren't a tripping hazard. I smiled softly, seeing Izuku smiling. I walked over to the two, after putting the apron on around my neck and tying the strings in the back.
"Oh hey!" Izuku chirped, smiling at me.
"Hey, have you been able to say hi to Emmi?" I asked.
"Yeah, she's eating right now though. Oh, and that looks really good on you, Shoto~kun."
"Thanks Izuku~kun." I smiled softly. "I'm going to go say hello to Emmi."
"Okay." He nodded and walked over to Shadow.
I walked over to the cat room, where Emmi was. On the way there, I paused to talk to Yaoyorozu.
"Yaoyorozu~san, can you come with me? I need to talk to you about something important."
"Yeah, of course." She walked with me to the cat room. I saw Emmi and knelt down by her. The white Persian purred and rubbed her face against my hand.
"I've been staying with Izuku~kun for two days. My dad doesn't approve, like always. If he asks, can you tell him that I stayed with you? I can't risk Izuku~kun getting hurt." I murmured quietly.
"Of course, Todoroki~kun. I still don't understand your father." She responded quietly.
"He's power hungry and wants me to marry someone like you." I muttered.
"He can't control you."
"You know he can, Yaoyorozu~san." I exhaled quietly. "At least your parents are more forgiving."
"I am lucky there." She murmured. "Don't worry about your father, Todoroki~kun. If he asks, I'll tell him you were with my family."
"Thank you, Yaoyorozu~san." She nodded. I saw Izuku walk over, his expression curious.
"Have you ever thought of doing walk in orders? Like, to-go?" Izuku asked us.
"What?" I asked, a very faint smile forming at the random question.
"You know, like someone walks in, orders something, and gets their order?"
"No, I know what that is, Izuku~kun." I could still feel the smile on my lips. Izuku smiled in response.
"I guess I never thought of that. That would be a good way to make extra profits for the cats." Yaoyorozu murmured thoughtfully.
"But it would mean that we would need more workers...or have some of us work more shifts. I'm not opposed to working more, but..." I trailed off.
"What if I came to work here?" Izuku suggested, his eyes bright. I looked at him with wide eyes.
"Would-Are you-Would your mom be okay alone?" I struggled to say, quickly trying to find my words.
"She has Small Might!" He told me.
"Small Might?" Yaoyorozu asked curiously.
"Small Might is the bunny I got Izuku~kun for Christmas." I explained. I saw Izuku nod.
"Would you be okay with working here?" Yaoyorozu asked.
"I'd love to!"
"We can ask.." I murmured. "We can mention your idea too. I'm sure our boss would love it."
"Thank you." He smiled up at us. Yaoyorozu nodded.
"Well, the cafe should be opening up soon. Todoroki~kun, would you mind setting up some treats?"
"Sure. Would you like anything Izuku~kun? It's on the house?"
"Really?"
"Of course."
"Can I get green tea then?"
"Of course." I smiled faintly at him.
Looking up at the clock, I realized that I only had a few minutes before the cafe would open. I walked to Izuku and kissed his cheek.
"I'll be in the kitchen if you need me." I told him quietly before standing up right. He smiled and nodded. I turned and walked to the kitchen. I washed my hands and gathered the things I would need.
After a few minutes, I had cat paw shaped cookie dough all on a tray and the oven set to 176°C. I put them in the oven and started on the tartlets.
After the tartlets were finished, I put them back in the fridge and got out a cup and green tea. I made the tea and poured it into the cup.
I carried the cup out to the main room and saw Izuku petting Emmi, who was sitting on his lap. I smiled softly and walked over to the two.
"Your green tea." I murmured as I set the cup down.
Izuku looked up at me and smiled softly.
"Thanks Shoto~kun."
"Emmi really seems to like you. I'm not surprised.."
"Why?" He tilted his head softly.
"Because you're very likable. I would be surprised if there was someone who didn't like you."
"Aww." He smiled and looked down at the elegant cat.
I knelt down and pet Emmi's head.
"I should go check on my cookies." I murmured and stood up. I heard the door open and the quiet murmurs of children.
"Okay, I'll see you later then." Izuku responded. I nodded and made my way back to the kitchen, avoiding the curious eyes of the guests.
I heard Yaoyorozu~san greet the guests. I turned my attention back to the kitchen and checked the cookies.

I closed the oven for the last time that night, making sure everything was cleaned out. As far as I knew, Izuku left hours ago to go help his mom with errands.
I put away the last few dishes and walked over to my phone, which was playing This Is Gospel. I turned off the music and picked up my phone, walking out of the kitchen.
In the staff room, I heard Yaoyorozu talking to someone. Strange. I didn't think she would be on the phone and no one else is here, right?
Wrong.
I opened the door and my phone fell out of my hand, my mouth open in shock.
"H-Hey Shoto~kun.." Izuku murmured, his hands trying to cover his face. He was standing next to Yaoyorozu, who was fussing over him.
"What's going on?" I asked. My cheeks were probably burning as badly as Izuku's were.
"We both wanted to see how he would look in a uniform, but there weren't any spare male uniforms. So I asked him to try this one." She waved at Izuku and what he was wearing.
"You can't really say no to Yaomomo~san." Izuku said. I nodded in response.
"You look cute, Izuku~kun." I murmured.
"I-What?" He asked, still blushing a bright pink colour.
"You look cute." I repeated and walked over to the two.
"Thanks." He murmured shyly.
"When did you come back?"
"A few minutes ago? Yaomomo~san asked me to come after the cafe was closed." He answered.
"Oh." I looked over at Yaoyorozu. "Why didn't you mention anything?" I asked her.
"It slipped my mind." She answered innocently. "Anyways, I'm going to change and you guys should too." She pat Izuku's back and walked into the women's bathroom.
"We should change too." I told him. He nodded, obviously still embarrassed.
I walked over to my locker and opened the door, untying my apron.
"You can change in the men's bathroom if you're more comfortable with that." I told him, lifting the apron over my head.
"Y-Yeah, I think I will." He answered. I pointed to the door labeled "Men's" and waited until he went in to finish changing.
Right as Izuku walked out of the bathroom, I was buttoning my last button. I shut the door of my locker and turned to him.
"Do you want me to walk you home?" I asked him.
"Could you?"
"Of course. I just need to wait for Yaoyorozu~san."
"What?" Yaoyorozu's feminine voice asked, a door shutting behind her.
"Oh, I'm going to walk Izuku~kun home. Would you mind locking up behind me this time?"
"Sure. Go ahead, I'll make sure everything is locked up."
"Thanks."
"Goodnight you two."
"Goodnight Yaomomo~san."
"Goodnight Yaoyorozu~san." I nodded to her and walked Izuku out of the back entrance.
The two of us walked silently back to his house, enjoying the quiet between us. His hand was warm in mine.
"I really do want to work in the cafe. It seems like fun." He said softly. I could see his bright smile.
"Yeah..it's definitely a good job." I responded.
"Have you always worked in the kitchen?"
"Yeah. I asked the manager if I could work somewhere where people wouldn't constantly be staring at my scar."
"Oh wow. That was really nice of your manager." He was quiet for a moment before speaking again. "You don't think people will be disturbed by my scar, do you?" He asked, pointing to his cheek.
"No, I don't think so. Your scar is small, and if people have a problem with it, then that's their problem." I answered.
"Thanks, Shoto~kun." He murmured and leaned on my arm.
I felt a soft smile on my face.

When we got to his apartment, I walked him up the steps and watched as he unlocked the door.
"Goodnight Sho~kun." He murmured and kissed my lips.
"Goodnight Izu~kun." I responded, holding him in a warm embrace.
After a few moments, we let go and pulled away.
"I'll see you on Monday." He told me.
"See you on Monday."
I waited until he was safely inside before I walked down the stairs.
I shoved my hands in my pockets and began the dreadful walk home.
