Midoriya's POV:

I heard the bell ring and I knew I would be pulled away from Shoto once again. I didn't want to go. I wanted to stay in Shoto's warm embrace forever. We eventually pulled away from our hug and kissed each other's lips.
"We should go." He told me, his eyes dark with regret.
"Yeah..." I paused for a moment and looked up at him. "Do we have to go?" I asked him, giving him puppy eyes.
"Oh, Izuku~kun..." He was smiling softly as he kissed my cheek. "As much as I don't want to, we have to." I frowned. "I'll get this sorted out soon and then we'll be able to be a normal couple again. Don't worry." He told me.
"Okay..." I murmured. I hugged him and forced a smile. "I'll see you in class." I told him and walked out of the abandoned hall. I walked into the classroom, very aware that I was alone. I walked to my desk and sat down. Uraraka looked over at me, curiosity glittering in her eyes.
“What did Todoroki~kun want? He kinda dragged you away suddenly.” She asked.
“Oh, he just wanted to talk to me. It’s nothing really.” I forced a believable smile.
“Oh, okay..” She leaned back into her seat and took out a few pencils, colourful pens, and a notebook. She seemed to be preparing for our next class, for whenever Present Mic would walk in.
I should probably be doing that too. I decided and took out a notebook and pencil. I was also surreptitiously looking around for Shoto. I hoped no one noticed my wide eyes scanning the room. Surely he wouldn’t skip class, right?
My question was answered a few seconds later when Shoto walked in and sat down without making any eye contact. He sat down at his desk, which was still next to mine. He pulled out a pen and notebook and waited silently until Present Mic walked in.
Everyone else was chattering until Present Mic walked in. “Heeeeeeyyy class!! Are you ready to learn?!” He shouted, as excited as ever. He waited until everyone had either nodded or verbally responded to continue. “Alriiight! Let’s start our lesson!”

Todoroki’s POV:

Class was dismissed and I watched as everyone gathered their things and walked out. I waited until almost everyone was gone before I stood up.
“I’ll see you later, Izuku~kun.” I told the petite boy quietly.
“Bye Shoto~kun!” He smiled up at me, keeping quiet as well.
I nodded and turned to walk out of the door. I walked silently to the cat cafe, letting my mind wander. I kept my mind in check, making sure it didn’t wander too far into a dark place.
I opened the door and let the bell slice through my train of thought. I nodded to Yaoyorozu and walked into the male staff room. I walked over to the mirror and stared at my face. I could see some of the bruises trying to be seen through the makeup and I sighed. I looked down at my school bag and considered putting on more concealer. I have a little bit of time, but it might get some attention...It’s better than having a bruise though. I picked up the concealer and put more on my face until the bruise was covered.
I turned away from the mirror and shoved my bag in my locker. I changed into the black and white uniform, putting the black apron over my white long sleeved button up shirt. I looked at my reflection once more before heading into the kitchen. To my surprise, Yaoyorozu was there.
“Hey, Todoroki~kun, is everything alright?” She asked.
“Yeah, I’m fine, why?”
“You just seem a little stressed lately and I’ve noticed makeup in your bag.”
“Makeup in my bag, are you sure?” I questioned, hoping to throw her off a little. I didn’t want to put my problems on her. Unfortunately, she was too smart and observant to fall for it.
“Yeah. Is everything okay at home?”
“Yeah, I guess. Nothing’s really changed.” I told her, trying to settle her concern.
“Oh, okay, well if you ever need to talk, I’m always here for you.” She smiled at me.
“Thank you Yaoyorozu~san.” I felt my lips curl into a microscopic smile. She nodded and turned to the dining room.
“I should probably be heading back out. We’ll finish up tonight around 10pm again.” She informed me before walking out of the door and leaving me to my thoughts. After a few minutes, I got frustrated by the silence. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and hooked it up to the small speakers on one of the counters. I pulled up one of my playlists and waited until the music started to return to making treats.
