Todoroki's POV:

I shook as I cried, tears dripping onto my blanket. When my phone chirped, I almost jumped out of my skin. I picked it up and felt the relief wash over me in thick waves.

I- Are you okay?
S- Are you okay?
I- Yeah, why wouldn't I be?
S- Right. Sorry.
I- Are you okay?
S- Yeah
I- That's good :3

I looked at the time. It was 1am.

S- Why are you still up?
I- I couldn't sleep, haha. Small Might and I have been keeping each other company. How about you?
S- I actually just woke up from a dream. I think I'll be trying to fall asleep soon. You should too.
I- Yeah, I will.
S- Goodnight then?
I- Goodnight, Shoto~kun. See you Monday!
S- Goodnight Izuku~kun.

I turned my phone off and sighed softly. I set down my phone and buried myself under the covers. I grabbed my pillow and held onto it, keeping it close to my body. That's right...I still haven't sorted things out about my father... Izuku's still at risk. We can't be affectionate in public. I should remind him.

I buried my face into the pillow, not wanting to see anything. I closed my eyes, black filling my vision. I willed myself to sleep, hoping a different dream could replace the bitterness the last dream left me.

I guess I must've fallen asleep, because the next time I opened my eyes, it was bright outside. I stood up and slowly got ready for the day. Even though I had things to do, I had no motivation to do them.

After I forced myself through a quick shower, I got dressed and walked to the entrance of the house. I looked around and slipped on my shoes silently, seeing no one around.
I left the house and headed towards the hospital. The walk was silent and short, only my thoughts keeping me company. As I walked into the hospital, a blast of cold air hit my face and I was greeted by the usual good afternoon from the ladies at the front desk.

"Good afternoon." I responded as I walked up to them.

"How can I help you?" The lady directly in front of me asked.

"I'm visiting my mother, Rei Todoroki. Is she still in the same room?"

"Rei Todoroki hmm...yes. She's still in room 451. Is there anything else you need?"

"No, that's it, thanks."

"Of course. Thank you!" I nodded and walked over to the elevator, taking it up to the fourth floor. I had a little bit of walking to do before I got to my mom's room, number 451. I knocked and waited for her quiet "come in" before I entered. When she saw me, I saw her dark grey eyes light up.

"Shoto, you're here." She smiled softly.

"Hi Mom." I felt a faint smile form on my face as I walked over to her bed. I sat down in the chair by her bed and waited for her to speak.

"How have you been Shoto? You look different.." She murmured.

"I've been okay. I've been better, I've been worse. You know.." I answered.

"Is something wrong?"

"Not really.."

"Not really?" She echoed.

"I'm just worried about someone who means a lot to me."

"Is this person in danger?"

"If I'm around them, then yeah."
