'Sir I wanted to remind you of your doctors appointment in thirty minutes.'
Caleb thanked his assistant Jolene before grabbing his belongings and heading out of his office. He told her if anyone was looking for him to tell them he had a meeting out of town.
'Even if it's your wife?'
'Yes,especially her'
Caleb was never one to keep secrets from Amor but this one he wanted to keep until he knew the seriousness of what was wrong with him. He had been having secret doctors appointments for about two months and he was getting tests after tests done but he hoped today he would get the results of what was wrong.
'Ms. Amor?'
Amor's assitant Thando walks into her boardroom interrupting a meeting she was having with a new client. Her client was opening a new resort and wanted her to do his decor. She usually decorated homes and this was her first really big project.
'Thando I'm in a meeting'
She half growled making the young gentleman in front of her shift in his chair not because he was scared but because he was turned on by her but she did not know that. She was now even more worried thinking she had made a bad impression. Thando knew not to disturbed her during meetings.
'Sorry miss Amor but the school called and they say that no one came to pick up the girls.'
'Caleb is to pick them up,did they call him. Maybe he's running la-'
Amor looked at the time and realised her husband was an hour late from picking up her daughters. She apologised to her client before quickly grabbing her belongings and tried to call Caleb but all she got was his voicemail. She informed her assitant to let the school know that she was on her way as she ran out of her shop.
'Caleb where the hell are you! WE ALL ARE RUSHING OF SOMEWHERE YOU IDIOTIC-FUCK!'
Amor cussed at the guy who cut her off almost causing an accident. She drove into the schools parking lot, jumping out of the car she ran to the receptionists office to find her babies hugged up together.
'Caitlin, Caedyn babies I am so sorry. Mommy's so sorry. Are you okay?'
She grabbed onto her girls, squeezing them in a tight embrace. Before the girls could respond the schools receptionists walked up to them.
'Oh they are fine,Caedyn just had her nap and woke up crying when she realised she wasn't home but I managed to calm her down.'
'Oh thank you Sandra. I am sorry about this,my husband was supposed to pick them up.'
'Mrs. Zulu,it is okay these things happen. That's why we have a policy where one of us stays for an hour after school.'
Amor nodded
'Okay, how do I pay for the extra time? Is it included -'
She was cut off by Sandra who explained to her that there was no extra fee. She handed her the girls backpacks after carrying Caedyn and grabbed Caitlin's hand. Amor was relieved that her girls were safe but worried about her husband.
