Amor smiled when she saw her son clearly for the first time. She had seen him when the nurses showed her for a quick second in the operating theatre. Now she had the opportunity to touch him, nurse him and rock him to sleep. She did as instructed by the nurses after washing her hands. She looked around the neonatal intensive unit and thanked the Lord her son was much better than the other babies in there and only had a vital monitoring machine on him. They had weaned him oxygen in a day and could breathe perfectly on his own.

' You're a fighter like daddy.'

She said as she put him on her breast, under the supervision of a nurse and he quickly latched onto it. A tear fell out of her eye as she though about her husband. He was going through so much and never showed any sign of pain or feeling weak. The more she thought about it the more she blamed herself for not noticing he was not well.

' I'm not only a bad mother but also a bad wife Cj.'

She said as she put him back into the incubator under the blue light. Due to him being premature, he had developed jaundice but nothing the blue light could not fix, the doctors had assured her. When she was done she asked for someone to escort her to the heamatology ward where Caleb was admitted.

' We're sorry we couldn't make it in yesterday.'

Amor bumped into her in-laws just as she was wheeled out of the neonatal intensive care unit. They hugged and comforted her. They had just come from seeing their son and wanted to see their grandson. They did not tell her how she was but her mother in-laws eyes, when he was mentioned, told her everything she needed to know.

' Oh Caleb!'

She cried out when she saw him with all those tubes in him. Seeing him in this state was not easy. For as long as she had known her husband he was the strong one, never falling I'll except for the occasional flu. He was her strength and she had to learn to he strong for him and hopefull for him. She grabbed onto his hand and did something he had taught her to do again after being angry for a long time. She prayed.

' Don't worry I'm here for you snookie.'

Amor slowly lifted her head after Amen. Her eyes met with the devilish smirk of her ex husband . Which he quickly tried to hide. She let go of her husband's hand and even though she was still in pain. Amor stood up to be toe to toe with him.

' What the hell are you doing in here?!'

' I came to check out _ I mean check on my friend and you. How's little man doing. I thought should check on him too.'

' You stay away from me and my family. I don't care what Caleb told you but you will never be his friend or a partner to me.'

Robert laughed out loud and left without a word but left that uneasy feeling in her stomach.
