Caleb growled when Robert forcefully kissed an almost unconscious Amor. While Trina watched on. He lifted the backpack off the ground and slung it onto his shoulder. He walked over towards him.
' You're a good man. Stupid but a good man. I guess I'll be seeing y'all around.'
' I'm sorry Caleb.'
Trina tried to kiss him but he swerved. She looked at him hurt but shrugged her shoulders and ran after Robert. There was the sound of two gun shots just as the duo reached the front door. Robert and Trina both fell to their knees, crying out in pain.
' Shit! I forgot about the guns.'
Robert cussed when he saw Caleb standing ten feet away from them with both guns in his hands. Trina sat next to him hysterical over the wound in her leg.
' Stop screaming. You untied him.'
' I didn't Rob! I didn't! Oh my god this shit burns. Caleb help me please.'
Caleb walked over to them with both guns still pointed at them and stepped on Robert's injured foot. He screamed.
' Did you think I'd let you leave after what you did to my wife?!'
' Caleb please let me go. It was not my idea this was all Trina, she told me to do that to Amor. Please let me go my brother.'
' I'm no brother of yours but thank you for the bruised eye. Made my aim better. Bet you did not know that I was once in the army. Trained sniper.'
' Caleb babe please he's lying this was all his plan. I only agreed because I wanted to get you back.'
Caleb sat down exhausted but still faced them with his guns in their faces. He was not letting them down for anything. He planned to end their lives. He just needed to set some things straight.
' Trina you left me twice and you expect me to leave the best thing that ever happened to me for you. Mxm, you're delusional. Now for Amor you're both not leaving this house alive.'
The police stormed in before he could even pull the trigger and restrained him.
' Fuck! You're hurting me. I'm the owner of this house and they are the intruders! Handcuff them and get my wife to a damn hospital!'
An officer who stood by the door called to someone outside. Caleb was relieved to see his father who confirmed that he was the owner.
' See you soon.'
Caleb whispered to a now unconscious Amor as they were wheeled into the accident and emergency area. Robert and Trina were attended to and kept overnight under heavy police guard.
FIVE MONTHS LATER
Caleb was awoken by the dip of the resort bed. He turned to find Amor seated at the end of the bed with her shoulders slouched. He checked the time to find it was eleven in the morning. He sat up and scooted over to her. Planting soft kisses on her shoulders as soon when he reached her.
' Caleb stop. I'm still sore from last night.'
' You know I can't keep my hands of this beautiful body.'
Amor turned to him and held his face. Both their wounds had healed and all that was left of their injuries were scars. They were both going to therapy and were looking for a new house since Amor had post traumatic stress and feared going back into their old house.
' Thank you for loving me.'
' Amor what are you on about? You're my wife.'
' If it was not for your love I would not have been able to live life and love again. I heard what you said when they wheeled us in and I could not wait to see you again. My last heart.'
' You give me strength to be honest. The strength to love and live life. The strength to raise our children.'
' I need that strength too because Lord knows I never wanted to be in this predicament again.'
' What predicament?'
Amor rubbed her stomach and his eyes lit up.
' You're pregnant? You sure?'
' Yes. I went to the doctor before we left and I'm two weeks pregnant.'
Elated by this Caleb carried her into their bedroom. God knows that he had feared that the baby was Robert's.
' I know. I was happy when he said I was just two weeks.'
They were both relieved but worried about pregnancy problems that lay ahead for them.
