Just by how Robert's footsteps sounded Caleb knew that he was angry but wondered why. Maybe he was not happy with what he found in the safe he thought. So he gently but quickly slipped the phone back into Trina's pocket and signaled for her to stand she had not heard Rob come down. Acting quickly she tied him back up and Caleb felt it was a sloppy job. He was not complaining though.

' You tricked me! '

He grabbed his face again. Which still hurt from Trina kissing him and the punch earlier.

' No I did not!.'

' You knew I didn't know her birthday. Infact I've never remembered it.'

He roughly let go of his jaw and Caleb spit out blood onto Amor's tiled floor. He really wanted to pull out his hand and punch him but he knew he might get lucky with one but he was in better health than him. Robert left after he had given him the date.

' Why do you let him do this to you?'

' He hasn't done nothing but what I wanted.'

' Trina I know you and I know you had nothing to do with this. You're not capable of any of this. You're a loving and caring person.'

' Things have changed Caleb. I'm not the same girl I was back then.'

' Okay so the woman who used to adopt stray animals and cry when I killed spiders because she believed everything deserves to live is gone?'

Trina smiled not that he saw it since he was almost blind but by her silence he knew that he was getting to her. He heard her sigh and stand up stepping in front of him. Her facial expression in contrast to the truth her eyes spoke.

' Yes she's gone.'

' Remember when I had to go out one night to buy you that ghastly tin roof ice cream because you where crying about the neighbours dog that had died.'

Trina smiled.

' Hey I grew up with that dog.'

' Remember how we had a whole argument because I stepped on a roach.'

Trina burst out in laughter but quickly quieted down. Caleb though he saw tears in her eyes but he could not be sure since she had moved away from him.

' Yeah you do know me. My last boyfriend used to force me to kill the pests in his house and I would cry so hard but he did not care. That's why I ran away from him and came back to you. You understand Caleb. Only you understand how I am. I wanted you back but not like this I didn't want to hurt anyone.'

' Then why are you hurting us?'

' It's not me though Caleb. It's Robert he did this to you my love. I never wanted you hurt.'

It took everything in him not to push her away when she sat on his lap and held his face. Robert walked down with a backpack on his shoulder.

' Too bad Amor can't see how really precious her husband is. Though I did not get enough money but these jewels will make up for it.'

He crouched infront of Amor.

' You're really a good woman. Unfortunately your parents ain't shit. They funded my trip and lifestyle here so I could come get you back. If you make it out of here. Sorry for breaking your heart again.'
