' So why were you crying when I bumped into you in the hallway?'

Caleb asked as they sat alone in his hospital room. Their children had left with Maddison and their grandfather who had come during the evening visiting hours.

' Finding your room so empty and clean caused me to panic. I thought the worst even though I didn't want to believe it.'

' I told you I'd never leave you. You're stuck with me for the duration of your life.'

Caleb said kissing her forehead gently and she closed her eyes as she felt herself tear up.

' I know but after Rob left and you had that seizure. I- I- thought the worst. You would have too if you saw what I saw.'

' I'm sorry I put you through all that but I heard what he said and it angered me that I couldn't defend you. I felt weak and helpless. I guess that's what caused the seizures.'

Caleb wiped the tears that fell from the corner of her eyes. Amor tried to hold them back but failed and instead cried onto his chest.

' Shhh..... It's okay. I'm fine now and will be going home hopefully in four days.'

' We still have to deal with the chemotherapy.'

' I'll be fine. You saw me earlier today. I went for chemo and came back fine..... Did dad tell you that Rob was here the night before?'

Amor nodded yes and looked  up at him from his chest.

' He told me something that literally made me come out of the coma........ He said that he bought the house next door to ours. To be near you and our children.'

' I hate to say I told you so but I told you that that man is crazy and with what did he buy the house with if he's bankrupt?'

' He mentioned something about your parents still acknowledging him as a  son in law.'

Amor sat quietly thinking about her family and how they have always taken Robert's side through their marriage and divorce just because they were old friends and business partners with Roberts parents.

' So you heard everything that happened around you?'

' Yeah just could not respond and it was very uncomfortable when the nurses bathe me. One of them always complimented me on my package and took her time when bathing me. '

' Is that even allowed?! What's her name?! I know she introduced herself to you. Probably that one who always looked at me funny when I came to see you. '

' I don't know her name and cannot tell her from the other nurses by her voice. So don't even ask me to.'

Caleb lied, he knew exactly who it was but did not want Amor to fight anyone or get anyone fired because she would. He regretted afterwards about telling her but what was done was done.

' I also dreamt about the day we first met... You know you saved my life that day.'

' How so?'

She asked

'  That day I heard your friend say that I was cute and I could get it and you ignored her. So my friends and turned and saw her getting something from the car ......'
