Amor wondered who could be at her front door at this time of the night. Caleb had his own key and even if he did not. He knew where to find d the spare key. Her neighbours were in a vacation while the others were busy with their own lives to bother coming over. She carefully got down from the ladder and headed to her front door. Only to be surprised when she met with her guest in the hallway.' Sorry but I've been knocking on your door for some time now with no reply. Since it was open I decided to come in. Oh where are my manners. Hi my name is -'
' Trina! I know. how can I help you.'
' Oh I'm new in the neighborhood and I heard that Caleb lived here so I came to say hi since I noticed the lights were on.'
' Caleb is not here.'
' It's fine I'll come by tomorrow or better yet I'll see him in the office.'
Amor was dressed in Caleb's old t-shirt and thights that came up to her mid-thigh and Trina kept looking at her up and down. Which made her uncomfortable and self conscious. Even though what bothered her was that this woman had mentioned seeing her husband at work, Caleb had some explaining.
' Trina was here!'
Amor angrily stated as soon as Caleb walked into their home with her children.
' What? How does she know where we live?'
' Beats me but apparently Rob is not the only person who bought a house in our neighborhood.'
She explained following him into the nursery then their daughters bedroom where they tucked them in.
' Babe wait Trina lives around here?'
Amor heard what she thought was excitement in his voice. They were now in their living room and under each other. Amor sat up and looked at him confused.
' Why do you sound happy about this?'
' Amor come on. It's not excitement. If anything I am thinking of moving away from this neighborhood. Our past is literally following us. I have to be honest with this makes me uneasy. First it was Rob then now Trina...'
' I thought that you and Trina were best buddies. Why are you worried about her?'
Caleb sensed the sarcastic tone in her voice and smiled pulling her further onto him then kissed her on the forehead. Feeling squeezed she lifted herself a little off of him but he kept his grip on her.
' Caleb you're crushing my bones.'
' You understand that I love you more than anything and will never intentionally do anything to hurt you or our family.'
' Yes.'
She groaned from the pain of being crushed even though she was being a little dramatic. He let go of her waist but pulled her down by her chin to kiss her.
' To answer your question....'
He said letting her go and she lay back onto him.
'..... Yes that night of the party I spent time alone with her. Which I later realized that I shouldn't have, as it gave her the wrong idea. Don't be mad but she made a move on me....'
Caleb felt her tense but she said nothing and he continued to explain that he had put her in her place and that's when he decided she should leave.
